Yea, he is huge and he looks great. I had to place mine on a shelf that is 12" deep so he would fit correctly.
Monsterarts did an interview long ago and noted that only Americans really show interest in the atomic ray effects and such but that's not enough of their market so they stopped including them.

I can't wait to get this, the sculpt on the MMS is great and this one's even bigger. I'm customizing this one though, full paint job for movie accuracy, don't think I'll go crazy on the teeth, we'll see.

Bandai Japan, they're just using BC's packaging art. This comes out in Japan August 6th, BBTS should be shipping it mid-late August, it's the Monster King Series figure from Bandai.

I'm not sure which is funnier: the pics, or your unintentionally ironic use of the word 'detailed'... - - -
MaulFan, I blame you for making me purchase this:
I plan on inserting lights and doing a repaint with a primer base of black Gesso, leaving some of the deeper recesses red to allow the light through. Some Vallejo acrylics on top, a couple coats of sealer... We'll see.
I just hope he's at least as detailed as the other Bandai G'16's, but even if he's not, at least I can texture the Gesso.
That vinyl should have the same detail as my standard one, just cast in translucent red instead of black. Be very curious to see how it comes out, I'm a bit disappointed no company has shown plans for a light up version.

Yeah, that's going to need customizing. The paint isn't doing it any favors. Looking forward to what you do to it.
