Thanks, there have been some amazing repaints of the small MMS figure. I actually know already my game plan, it'll basically be the same as when I customized the Hot Toys Two Face from Dark Knight, paint his whole body red tones for his glow, then layer the dark on top.

I think I remember someone saying they wanted to order the Bandai Monster King series Shin Godzilla from BBTS but they were sold out. I just canceled my order. I would watch very closely the next couple of days to see if they put it back up for order. I've gotten things that way in the past.

I've saved photos of like 6 or 7 Shin customs I liked from Twitter. Some have gone too intense with the red for my taste.

That sounds like the correct way to go and that's what I would do if I had even the slightest skill in painting.
The red should not be overwhelming. It's coming from within G and that's what it should look like. Not painted on afterwards.

Was that for me? I was actually referring to the SH MonsterArts Shin Godzilla. (Though that picture is awesome.) Their products aren't necessarily in scale to each other (and someone said they just changed the scaling?) so I wanted a better idea of what to expect. Eight inches? Seven inches?

It seems around 7", it's taller than other SHMA but not as tall as the 8" light and sound '89.

The short one is the Banpresto lottery figure that Sakai sculpted for, the larger, is his original sculpt they made it from. It seems Banpresto reduced the overall size, likely for packaging considerations.

It's probably good the eBay prices on the Banpresto are so insane. Otherwise, I'd pull the trigger. *whines* But there is X-Plus to look forward to... It'll be good to see some more pictures of that as we get closer to winter.

Yeah, apparently Sakai is releasing a resin kit of the larger for about $312 before shipping.

I think he was joking . Hopefully. He is still a lizard reptile thingy. I read spoilers and they said nothing about a shark.

Very interesting. I though zilla was smaller and damn 2014 Godzilla was massive. Wow looks like the 54 was a tiny guy lol

Man, it's underwhelming...
While accurate overall, the pose is just not good for this design.
Should have went with stoic/heroic posture plus Garuda.
