I'm 100% serious. Is there a reason Godzilla or King Kong can't talk? It works in Planet of Apes. King Kong is can just be a bigger version of Cesar. Am I supposed to believe that giant radioactive monsters with powers talking is too much? Talking is like the least impressive thing they're capable of doing.

Godzilla has evolved past the need for speech but he does possess the capacity for telepathy. Mothra as well.

So, speaking of crazy notions. I remember rumor mill about MBB's character having a connection to the monsters like Miki in the Toho series, so relieved that no such thing was included, I just think it would feel oddly out of place in the MonsterVerse.

Oh jeezus -- I was just imaging the computer system that the humans say they've crated to 'communicate' with the monsters.... and the horrible, comedic conversations that follow. Including the ultimate "we have given Godzilla a voice" where he sounds like WOPR from War Games.

There were points where I thought they were gonna go for it. Once at the larva and the next just before the “ice breaking”. Maddie’s mom goes all slow motion when she says her name and they way she responded almost felt like it was some sort of mental control . Just seemed like a weird bit of direction there.

I'm wondering if a TV series might work for this Godzilla, obviously they couldn't do stuff on the scale of KOTM but they could have some cool stuff in there from time to time.
