When G14 showed Godzilla, it delivered some of the best visuals in the franchise and so far, the monster shots from this film look to deliver, the shot of Rodan flying around in the background from the first trailer looked great, this has potential to be the best Rodan action since the original Rodan.

Lots of potential for sure, maybe having rights to the big 3 on top of Godzilla added some pressure to really step up. Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster is one of my most favorite Godzilla film and this could take all that awesome to the next level.

Padme has more personality and memorable lines of dialogue than all RO's characters combined. You know this to be true. :chase

He’s right tho. Don’t wanna derail the thread but the PT is more memorable than anything Disney has done combined as of yet.

Anyway can’t wait for this film .

Memorable for being old ****** Starwars movies. I'll never like the PT.

Are those the designs?

Ghidorah and Rodan have a bit of a He-Man vibe. Like the those red pack 1995 Star Wars figures. Is that the toy company being "stylish" or is that accurate?

How does Ghidorah's lower body support all that's above it? He's my favorite monster but I'm not sure I like this particular design.

Monster arts does take some design liberties and proportions can be slightly off because of articulation joints, but I’d say these are 85-90% accurate.

I'm not sure I'm happy with Ghidorah's design either. As soon as I saw the picture, I also thought it looked a little top heavy. I think what's causing the problem for me is that tiny waistline. Might just be the angle though.

Mothra looks like an alien. Not digging that one at all. Thumbs up for Godzilla and Rodan. I, will of course, buy them all.

Good:

Godzilla has Godzilla feet now
Rodan
Ghidorah waist up
Mothra wings

Bad:

Ghidorah skinny legs
Mothra the area 54 alien praying mantis
Toys ruining the movie reveals lol

I can still easily forgive Ghidorah’s skinny legs though depending on the movie it can still work.

It’s still Ghidorah and not some crazy reimagining.

During the panel, Dougherty noted, like Godzilla, the roars will be updated versions of the classic sounds, Rodan’s skin was designed to connect to and come off as something that could hold up to lava within a volcano, and Ghidorah is going to be portrayed with each head having a personality, the middle being the smartest, alpha, and the other 2 described as being like younger siblings. Mothra’s wings have eyes designed to be Godzilla eyes used for camouflage like butterflies do.

I love how some of the spine updates are exactly shaped like spines off the ‘54 suit.

I collect a lot of dragons and I don't think that Ghidorah's legs are especially skinny here. We are certainly more accustomed to the heavier pillar Toho legs, but overall, the design is more slender. I'm hoping that as MaulFan said, due to articulation concerns, the area where the legs connect is actually a little more substantial. I'm not as concerned as it relates to this toy in particular, as I'll get the X-Plus if/when they make it, but I don't want it looking goofy for the movie. I am expecting it to be irrelevant though as Ghidorah and the other monsters will be continually shrouded in darkness, rain, mist, fog, clouds, huge amounts of fire and smoke, missile explosions, flying debris, fairy dust, chocolate sprinkles, etc.
