Do we know if Godzilla is going to be a good guy in this one again?

A good guy that accidentally kills and drowns thousands when he jumps in the ocean and creates tidal waves type of good guy, yeah.

No one should take for granted that Rodan. Mothra and KG are in a modern hollywood high budget movie it’s not like Pacific Rim, last few Transformers, Shin Godzilla, live anime movies or even G14 itself set the world on fire.

This short little Rodan clip really got me thinking, more so than the trailer. With Godzilla 2014, I got to take in the wow of seeing Godzilla through the eyes of modern SFX and enjoy him in ways I never could pre-CGI. Now I get to enjoy 3 more classic, beloved monsters in the same way. Just this one shot alone, a human POV shot of Rodan swooping over head, the idea of Ghidorah swirling around the sky amidst of sea of fighter jets trying to take him down. This movie is going to be like a realization of so many fantasies and wishes while watching the classic Toho films, I can't wait. As someone else had alluded, this movie is going to feel a lot like the moment when all the Avengers unite in a film.

Godzilla continues to be man's protector, there's even suggestion that there was/is an underground, ancient civilization that worshipped his species. Godzilla and Mothra are heroes, Ghidorah is a clear enemy, from what I've read so far, Rodan is villainous but sort of a lackey to Ghidorah, not a villain all on his own, but giving into the power of Ghidorah.

There's supposed to be nods to past Godzilla movies and I'm sure something will imply or hint at the fairies, but there will not be fairies in this one. Mothra's classic song that the fairies sang will be used though, confirmed by the director at Tokyo Comic Con last weekend.

The only bad news is, nothing has been announced so far beyond Godzilla vs Kong, but, that's in production at least so we've got two more MonsterVerse films at least before it's over, hopefully this and Kong will do well enough to keep it going.
