You guys noticed the alleged shot of burning Godzilla in the trailer? It happens at around the 2:00 mark. There’s an earlier shot of Goji in a lava world so im guessing its just him covered in lava rather than him meting down like the toho film. But dats pretty kewl

Mothra uses some power to heal/energize Godzilla in fighting Ghidorah and it causes the Burning Godzilla.

I mean I know TOHO has their super dedicated fan base and we all have our own warm and fuzzy nostalgia feelings for those movies plus yes 54 was a unique movie for that era but lets be real here Kaiju movies for the general public are nothing more than B movies filled with childish man in suit comedy and bad dubs.

B movie is being generous lol

That’s why, if the MonsterVerse ends after Kong, I’ll be happy. A lone sequel to 2014 would have blown me away, let alone a new Kong, a high budget melee of Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah plus another meet up of Kong and Godzilla. A high budget Mechagodzilla movie, not counting Ready Player One, is about the only classic Godzilla thing that I could want and hasn’t been realized.
