Another thing that proved, KG sound effects are an absolute must for it to be KG it’s just as important as Godzilla’s roar.

I wonder if new KG will have spastic head movement

I don’t know about spastic in movement, but in the shot with Ghidorah in the clouds over DC, you can see all 3 heads in different positions and directions. I think this will happen plenty but with smoother motion.

And yes, roars are key, we’re supposed to get them but I could see that being saved for the film, we haven’t really heard Rodan and that’s another distinct roar needed, one reason I don’t like ‘93 Rodan.

Only remember watching the older Godzilla movies with my dad when I was little. I have to say I am excited to see this. Spoke with my dad and he wants to go. Will be watching a new Godzilla movie with my dad like I did 30+ years ago.

I’ve seen Godzilla ‘98 and 2000 in theaters with my mom, and I saw Shin by myself during the limited run. I missed out on 2014 so I’m very excited for this.

Like many here, the sheer shock of these monsters all realized in a big budget Hollywood film is huge, now add to that the climax taking place in my backyard essentially. This is very likely to end up my 2nd favorite Godzilla ever, even beating ‘84 which is big.

I’m happy you mentioned that and i’ll tell you why you are making an apples to oranges comparison.

Lets not forget that Suicide Squad was considered to have had the BEST trailers that year and well you know the rest of the story.

If we are just rating a trailer I would say that YES the SECOND Godzilla FULL trailer was better than AEG FIRST TEASER trailer.

But look at their differences!

Not just that!

WB is trying to SHOW in that 2nd full trailer that they heard the complaints of G14 they are trying to build upon!

Marvel is trying to HIDE their movie!

Marvel already knows everyone is going to watch the sequel to IW so their goal now is to protect it because they also know that fans don’t want to be spoiled so they’re going to build their marketing on keeping secrets.

Marvel is so beyond innovating the cinema landscape that they’ve now been forced to innovate how they freaking market their damn movies!

Yes this new Godzilla movie has spoilers but they’re nowhere near the level of AEG spoilers with it being the end of a 10 year journey.

The AEG trailer was genius marketing if you ask me.

But YES the 2nd Godzilla trailer was also spectacular!

I called it! Haha, but seriously, I said as much before they came out, Godzilla is in a position to show money shots in the trailer, End Game is riding on the Avengers/MCU hype and concealing a lot before release. I expect most of the End Game marketing to be bland, especially compared to Infinity War.

I can't imagine something like this doing phenomenal business. Even if its the best Godzilla movie ever made in the history of mankind -- and it looks like it -- that's still a very limited and small audience. Curiosity factor will determine if its a hit. Good reviews will help; bad reviews will hurt.

2nd weekend will determine.

There's no way this doesn't make serious bank. Like I said previously, this will likely be the Avengers 1 of monster films in terms of being the first time in this era seeing these iconic monsters come together in a big budget Hollywood film.

Isn't it kind of funny how Toho in a way had their own shared cinematic universe of films way before shared universes were a big thing like what the MCU has done. I guess you could include the old classic Universal monster movies as the first but just not on that big blockbuster scale. This new Monsterverse is just a new iteration of a much older one when you look at it.

Meanwhile almost 100 years later Universal think they can do The Mummy as an action movie with Tom Cruise and their Dark Universe hasn't even got off the ground.
