I've never gotten a figure from Hastings in the brown shipper. I have received figures that are missing the slip cover and have pretty dinged up boxes as well since the items are displayed on their sales floor.

How do they normally package their items? One of the memebrs above said his was wrapped like a present. Useually I'm not picky about this sort of thing but say the wrapping tore and the delivery person caught a glimpse of whats inside or something and decided this could be worth some money and steal it. I know I probably being overly paranoid but ya never know.

All of mine came in boxes, but not much packaging material was used on a few of my shipments. I also had an experience where they taped two boxes together into a makeshift giant box in order to ship the two items I had together.

Thanks for the info Boba Ben and karmazov80. Sounds like they could do some work when it comes to shipping but at their prices I can't complain. Final question, since the figure I'm ordering doesn't say whether it's in-stock or not, is it safe to assume it's in-stock then?

U really don't know until they actually send you a shipping notice, they could e-mail you back and cancel your order saying that they took too many orders. It's the luck of the draw if you ahead enough in the que.

I'd say it should be in stock. If it isn't it should normally have lettering stating that it's out of stock and not allow you to add it to your cart. There have been times where people have ordered something to have their order canceled and money refunded as Hastings' inventory is a little messed up I think.

Just adding 1 more record with my experience with gohastings.

Ordered a TS: Marcus Wright and came in after approx 5 days. Came in a big (beaten up) cardboard box that was not tightly packed (ie: not completely filled up to prevent contents from shaking around). Actual HT case came with the TS sleeve and was in good condition though did not come in the brown shipper. Actual figure looks mint though I have not taken him out yet.

update: I took the figure out and it is indeed mint.

I had one figure arrive in a large brown shipping box filled with those air pillow bags. Actually protected the figure box quite well.

I had another figure in a large brown shipping box filled with some crumpled brown paper. The figure box must have bounced around in there like a Mexican jumping bean...

I just sent them an email about the John Connor figure I received without the cardboard sleeve. Hopefully they can just send me the sleeve as I really do not want to send the whole figure back. Or give me some sort of refund, I saw in the Batman thread that someone received a dinged up box and got them to give them a $19 refund or something.
Also I am still waiting on 1 of the Sandtroopers I ordered. I was told it shipped at the same time as all my other 5 figures but I still have not received it yet.

Just got my John Connor today! :yess:

And it was ACTUALLY John Connor which is good since I jumped the gun and won an auction for the Final Battle display base last week! Double :yess: :yess:.

Haven't got him out of the box yet but I opened it up and looked inside and everything looks good and sealed still.

Funny though, he only comes with one set of hands and no additional wrist pegs. I know it's not standard to get multiples of each but it seems to be becoming the norm for HT's figures and it surprised me a little.

:lol after all the research and videos I watched for this figure you would have thought I would have known that before actually receiving it. :slap

T600....here I come!

Thanks. This is my first time dealing wih GH and I was just curious cause on their site it says most items are shipped within 48hrs and I still have not got an email saying it was shipped out yet.

If you want a tracking number you can call them.

Got my Marcus in today... packaging was good. A few indentations on the black foam, but overall in excellent condition.

But honestly, not as impressed with the figure as I thought I'd be.

When did you place an order? If it's over a few days, I'd give customer service a call and use your order # for reference.
