Pics? I'm interested in seeing how they display these.

Going up to Albuquerque this weekend, will snap a picture. I will make sure it's a star wars item since it's in the star wars threads, lol.

As far as condition of box the Shropt nailed it. If u get a fairly new item the box shouldn't be too bad, but item thats been out a while, chances are it's been fondled almost as much as Paris Hilton.

Well I got screwed over by Hastings for the first time with the Big Chap Alien. It's not so much by them directly, I think, but that I believe somebody broke the figure and returned the item. When I went to take the figure out of the box, the hands fell right off and I looked at the inside of the wrist peg holes and saw that there were broken pegs glued into the wrist joints. I took the alternate hands out of their housing and, what a surprise, they were missing the pegs. Seems like somebody repackaged and returned the broken figure and I ended up with the damaged goods.

I guess I'll be contacting them about it tomorrow.

Bummer. Expect that they'll simply offer to let you return it for a refund.

I got my HT War Machine from hastings a couple days ago. Well packed in a big box with cushions and everything. Still have to take him out of the package and set him up.
Looks cool thru the plastic though. :lol

got another 20% off going on.

HONESTABE is the code.

Thanks Robbie! :rock

Hopefully I'll find something SW related to use it with! :D

Though I hate always getting a banged up box from them. And my latest purchase from them (SSC CW 1/6 Anakinn) I'm sure was opened and returned. Lightsaber and hilt looked to be just thrown in there and the forearm guard was extremely crinkled due to being pressed between the wrist peg and the wrist on the body. Not to mention the rips by the bottom tab like someone's never opened a SSC star wars box :gah:

Bummer that between them charging full retail, high shipping and adding tax that 20% off doesn't do much better than buying from any other retailer :huh

Considering that a Hot Toys figure shipped is still less than retail, I think it's a pretty good deal.

Sure, but considering just about every retailer sells them for 10% off to begin with the price difference here shipped is about $5-8 in your favor.

For instance I purchased the T-1000 from Alter Ego; with shipping it was $163. If I buy from GoHastings the total is $156. Still, $7 saved is better than nothing... but its certainly not a steal.

A $20 off sale really just puts GoHastings on similar footing with other retailers since they get you on tax and starting off at full retail.

Shipping on one figure is only $11 and there is no tax on my order so still a good deal - ordered another T-1000 for $143 shipped.

No tax... really? See that would make it a better deal, but I always get charged tax :huh

Guess its because we have Hastings in my area? So never mind my previous post :lol
