Yeah the EX on Vampirella is pretty cool.
I like this Gollum statue, but I think they should have tried to go for a sculpt that captures both Gollum and Smeagol in a reflected pose.
I use my SSW Gollum and Smeagol that way and they look great. Having one on this giant rock stair and the other on some yet to be seen half assed base doesn't quite cut it for the asking price or for dual display.
Still ordered it though.

I am sure once international collectors receive theirs then we will know. My guess is 300 ES for the international version.

It seems weird to me that a simple difference in phrasing printed on a pad on the bottom of the base makes this a different 'version'

It is a cool piece though as all your focus has to go on Gollum / Smeagol, and looking at some of the early pics this is the right thing as he looks too be very well sculpted. No shrubs, plants, pools to distract from what was always a solitary little creep.

It's not a big thing but it just kind of bothers me that all the cards aren't laid on the table. To me it's kind of misleading to list an item at a certain edition size and then once it's sold out, release the exact same thing and brand it as something different when it really isn't. This in effect changes the edition size so you are not really being told everything up front. Now this isn't an issue when you can cancel without penalty but I'm not so sure it's the right thing to do if you are paying a non-refundable deposit up front without all the facts available.

Agreed, it's not right. I'm pretty sure if one were to contact SS and complain they could get their deposit refunded, but why should anyone have to go through the hassle of doing so?

One thing I am unclear on.....Dusty compared this to the PZ PF example. However, the PZ International edition did not come with excl. extra hand. Does this mean an International edition Gollum PF will not feature the Smeagol torso, nameplate, and extra display base?

Think of it as the Domestic Exclusive basically being the Sideshow Exclusive, and the International Edition being like a 'regular edition' which we don't actually sell on our site because it's specifically for our distributors. (unless there are a few left over after the distributors' sales orders are filled, like with the Patient Zero PF)

Sideshow did the same thing with the 100 edition Optimus Prime Maquette. They increased it to 150 and didn't even let the people who ordered it know they had done so.
Being dishonest is a bad reputation to have as a company. Selling statues with non refundable deposits, bases that have yet to be seen like Gollum/Smeagol, and making edition sizes that break pre set limits is doing an F U to the customer.

Sideshow does way more good things than bad (as a company) so I let these things slide. Although I do like to point them out.

The extra base is probably ugly as hell. I can't think of a single other reason why there wouldn't be a picture. Ran out of film?

nope damn it, this is so temping but i'm going to pass on it. although he's one of the main characters, there's something that just isn't hitting home with me, and further more if i were to order this i'd have to order two like alot of you on here have, just to display him properly.
so $600 is a bit much for this piece imo.

Agreed. A two second swap is all it needs to change it up. One is enough for me.
