what's really strange to me, is that from what i know about hinduism, is the huge promotion of peace. so it's strange to see a hindu man charged of two first degree murders...very unusual.

so is he Muslim or Hindu? Those are two totaly different things you know, the first one has Allah, the second one has Vishnu and Brahma and Ganesha and people get re-incarnated...

And anyway, why would it be hard to believe a person with a non-violent religion became violent? Just because he has the same ethnicity as people with a non-violent religion, or even family and friends that practice that religion, it doesn't mean Gollum follows it...

What is meant by "non-violent religion" anyway? Is there any one world religion that is particularly more violent than another? Or even violent at all? So Hinduism and Islam preach peace, but doesn't Christianity preach peace also? You know, Jesus said to love everyone and be kind and giving to everyone, and common to Judaism and Christianity are the ten commandments received by Moses directly from God, one of which is "Thou shalt not kill"....

And Buddhism has the eight-fold path, which has the "stepping stones" toward Nirvana as "Right actions" and "Right thought" among along with whatever the other 6 are... And what kind of "right action" involves killing people?

Point is, ALL world religions* are "non-violent," and it's possible this guy didn't follow any religion necessarily... He couldve pretended he did but didn't really believe any of it. How do we know he's not an atheist?

It doesn't really matter, there have been lots of Christian murderers Im sure, I dunno about those Buddhists... But probably... And there have likely been Jewish murderers too. So it shouldn't be surprising if a murderer is Muslim/Hindu...

Yeah so he's Hindu. Now we know he has some bad Karma going on, and will probably be reincarnated as a woman or sanitation worker... That's what happens in Hinduism... ancient Hinduism anyway... The caste system is supposedly illegal now...

Any way, he obviously hasn't achieved moksha yet. We're likely to see him again as another person.




If I was Hindu also, that's what I'd believe... but I'm a Christian. So that's a steaming pile of cow turd IMO! No offense to Hindus...

no one ever said this. i said people with the last name Patel are most likely, if not always Hindu. i didn't say all Indians are Hindu..that's just not true.
