Seems like the site streamlining ended 30 mins after Boromir was put up. LOTR traffic just isn't the same as SW, which is fine by me. Those SW orders are stressful.

I'am not sure if priority pre-orders are even that necessary for LOtR figures....with Leogolas I didn't get of work until 6:00pm, 7 hours after he went up and I was still able to get an exc.If I remember correctly I got Aragorn a full day later....so...

I'm thankful the LOTR preorder experience is NOT like the Star Wars experience. I like it smooth and easy.

This may all change once Aragorn is finally shipped and people get to see just what these figures entail. Collecting madness may grip more people.

Let's hope not Wor-Gar! I like the LOTR pre-orders smooth and easy too! I was at the Doctor's office for a record 3 and a half hour wait...Just got home and was still able to order Boromir Exclusive. I would've been pissed if that long wait made miss the chance of getting him. Rest assured, I'll NEVER be going to the doc's on an SW pre-order day!

PPO was developed as a way to truly give Newsletter members the first dibs on product. Our system before was slightly faulty, because, even though the pre-order link was only given out in the newsletter, once someone had it they could post the link anywhere and there was no way to really make it special for NL subscribers. This way, if the product does turn out to be super popular, you guys can get the chance to get your hands on it first. If it doesn't sell out in the 2 hours, that's fine - but at least you were given the chance to get it before the general public just in case :duff

Thanks for clearing that up Dusty...and believe me on SW PPO days I 'am very happy for the NL members first cracks....I guess after the stress of SW PPO everything else seems so much easier you forget why you have PPO in the first place:duff

A REWARDS program -- that would be great!

Since I have like 12 things on order, it would be nice to have SS throw me and others a little bone. At least a COUPON that isn't tied to a specific figure -- just a $15 off anything coupon.

I love that NL subscribers get first dibs, but the wait by the computer is maddening.

Speaking of PPO, it's 15 min after the 2 hr window and Boromir is still listed as PPO only. I figured out a way to get one ordered for a non NL subscriber anyways, but the purchase button ain't showing up yet on the Boromir page.

EDIT: 30 min after and still listed as PPO

and yet another new avatar for Batty.
I made a whole bunch of them. I'm testing to see which one I like. You'll see a few more in the next couple of days before I decide which one I want to keep for a while. Change is good!

Once you test them all out have a poll and let your fellow freaks decide your new avatar!

I do. It makes the thrill of having one more exciting when the numbers are lower. It also makes it easier to justify spending the money on these when I can look at them and know that they're worth more than what I paid for them.
