I think Groot will be a standalone piece for me. I'll already have tiny Groot with the others so I'll put this one somewhere special on 'display.' Wherever that display is, I do not know, yet.

I ordered this instantly for my sister as it does not fit in with the scale of my collection.

I bought her the potted Hot Toys Baby Groot before and she loved it. That was 1/4 scale so it will pose great with this one like a Big brother / little brother Groot family. Imagine him with a small watering can etc.

Considering that a life size Hot Toys cost about $10,000 and can't be posed. This is life sized for less than the cost of a standard Hot Toys figure and has countless posing options. Holding a bowl of candy around your house. Mischievously about to touch grails in your collection plus people who come over to your house will want him to sit on their shoulders or whatever to pose for pics and selfies.

My sis will probably have him sitting in a relaxed position as a bookend for her Harry Potter collection or her Marvel BluRays.

Great figure, great price hopefully a great movie. Can't wait until Friday to see it with friends.

It came packaged in a cassette case, it's got bit of weight to it and the engraving is really nice (and it should for the price). She loves the 1st film and watched it a few times in the theater so she will like this a lot. Just hope the movie is good.

Waiting impatiently for them to put the Vol. 2 soundtrack on cassette like they did for the first one. I also think its funny with all of the ideas on how or where to display this Groot because he's the only Hot Toys figure I'd consider keeping at my desk at work, going to be some fun display options with him.

Am I the only one creeped out by this Groot? If I bought this, I fear one morning I'm going to wake up with it standing on the table next to my bed with its arms open (first pic in op).

I think it's great, and the price really is pretty low as far as I'm concerned. I even used my bonus $15.00 RP on it, as they were about to expire. So $175 for this? I'll take it!
