GoW3 or Fallout3?

Was hoping to get some honest opinions here. I have a GameStop giftcard and the two games I"m most interested in picking up are God of War 3 and Fallout 3. I only want to get one and I'm torn between them.

I loved the first two GoW games on the PS2 but sort of lost interest perhaps due to the big gap between them? And I've never played Fallout 3 but heard good things. Better late to the party than never right?


So which one is it? God of War 3 for my PS3 or Fallout 3 GOTY edition for the 360?

Currently playing both, both are amazing games and you can't go wrong with either one. If you want to just mercilessly kill stuff then go wit GoW3, if you want a HUGE and immersive game go with Fallout 3.

like Ill said both are great and i too have both of them but you can play fallout 3 for a couple of months and still not finish it or hack through gow 3 on a weekend.

Especially if youre getting GOTY edition.
With all the extra content its IMMENSE and more bang for the buck.

Hmmm. Thanks for the hasty replies! From these comments I'm now leaning towards FO3 (surprise). The idea of a game being so immersive and lasting for months appeals to me a bit more than a game I can finish in one weekend.

I'll go with Fallout 3 also. Haven't played GoW3, but since I played the demo, it plays like the previous two but with more weapons and moves. The battle system in Fallout 3 is really fun.

Yeah Fallout 3 is a huge game and like the others have said, with the extra content it's just that much more. It'll definitely keep you playing for a while.

never played anything more epic than god of war 3....the scale is insane...if you have a sound system and a hd tv...youll be crapping your pants....but fallout will last alot longer...your call buddy

Did they fix the freezing/glitches with Fallout 3 GOTY? I've been wanting to play this, but have put it off because of it.

To answer the OP, FO3 is more of my type of game. The PS3 needs more deep games like it and Demon's Souls.

I never played the first 2 Fallouts. Is Fallout 3 worth getting if you haven't played the first 2.

I never played the first 2 Fallout games and I love Fallout 3.

Fallout 3. It's cheap now, it'll last you until the actual nuclear apocalypse. Better game. Not that GoWIII isn't excellent, but Fallout 3 was even more so.

Definitely Fallout 3, get the Game of the Year version with all the DLC.

rent god of war 3 and finish it over a weekend.

You can pick it up later at a reduced price if you want to have another go.
