Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I caught myself getting distracted by random encounters and the driving that I forgot about the story mission.

Sadly, that's what happens in Sandbox games. I lost my way around the bounty missions in Red Dead Redemption, and I completely forgot about the storyline. That was two years ago, and I haven't played the game since :rotfl.

I do a bit of both. I rip through a few story missions back to back maybe, then try to slow it down. Hit some other quests and encounters, fool around etc.

I clean up what I can with one guy, then when I get bored or feel I've tapped everything out, other than going back to story stuff, I switch guys.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

This is my favourite game of all time. I'm about half way through but today I have been parachuting, playing with the stock exchange and just exploring. The world is amazing and the views breathtaking. Rockstar really have pushed the tech right to the limit. I've been friends with SOLIDSNAKE for years but dude is crazy to say the graphics are not good. IMO they are the best this console generation ( because of the detail and size ). Can't wait to play online.

Ok finally got to Trevor and the whole appearance of

Johnny. I dunno about anyone else, but that person on screen looked like Johnny, but sure as hell didn't act like him. Kinda felt that his character was compromised just to make trevor appear cool

That said, Trevor is a hoot. Flying too me quite a while to get used to, too

Stay out of my territory.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I would say the graphics of GTA V and TLOU balance each other out when you take into account size vs. quality.

I'd say GTA V has one of the realist skies I've ever seen in a game.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

There is usually a Banshee at the helipad that you can buy in LS.

It's cool that the Cargobob's wench works outside of missions.

Yeah i used it to transport the sub from trevors hangar to the alamo sea so i could explore. Not purchased the dockyard yet for the other sub.

Johnny in 4 was not a meth head. Johnny in 5 is a meth head 5 years of meth sure isn't good.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

Water is great and behaves more realistically than any other GTA. It's scary how big the underwater world is. I just wish it had more fish.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

My only issue with framerate so far is being in the sub. If you surface by holding X, and keep the sub above surface using the stick while moving the game lags like hell.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I do hope they patch the glitches soon. There was a few glitches I encountered through the SP missions and even in basic free roam.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

Diving into the water is fantastic.

I've been BMX-ing in a Skate Park for the last 20 minutes :lol

So much to do in this game.

Given the amount of detail inside the buses I'd love a mission where there is a bomb on a bus and you have to drive it over 50mph for as long as possible :D

One thing i hate is the damn Snapmatic servers being down. I've encountered loads of funny situations and taken pics only for them not to be able to save.

Don't like the trophies being online as well though

For Fight Club fans, Trevor has this jacket available at Suburban.

EDIT: And the Silver Aviator glasses are similar to the red shades in the movie, same store.

Woo! 90% on stats. Just have a few little things to do. Amazing game, maybe the best GTA. Others are up there purely for nostalgia though

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I'm in the mission where Wade found out about Michael Townley being elderly and in kindergarten and driving to Floyd and the thunderstorm scared the living **** out of me.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I bought it on release day for my Xbox 360. The only glitch I have to report was I was looking at my cellphone as Michael outside his house, and the game just froze. My controller wouldn't respond. So I manually restarted my Xbox 360. I got the blimp, and rode it right above the highest mountain in the game. I saw a house at the top, but didn't check it out yet. I will soon. I rode a cable car to the top of one of the other mountains, and met a hiker up there looking around. I also saw two motorbikes, and rode one of them all the way down the mountain.

I played three sets of tennis as Michael vs his wife Amanda, and won. Pretty fun!

I think the game is great! I like the ability to switch off between Franklin, Michael, and Trevor. The first time a G.T.A. game has had three playable characters. Pretty cool! I've only done a few missions with Franklin and Michael. I'm just taking my time and really enjoying the game.

Michael reminds me of Tony Soprano. A guy in a nice house with a family that hates him. He even sees a "shrink" like Tony did in "The Sopranos" H.B.O. series.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

Just finished the game. No spoilers, but do a manual save before going into the final missions, keep your options open.

Game is pure win. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in a game. Trevor is pure GOLD!
