Of course the naysayers will continue to say it's just hyperbole. Oh well, carry on.

ErikDavis: GRAVITY! GRAVITY! GRAVITY! The ultimate stuck-in-a-pickle movie. Stunning. Mindblowing. Loved it. #TIFF

adamchitwood: GRAVITY: Magnificent. Genuinely awe-inspiring. An immersive, emotional, and masterful piece of filmmaking. An incredible experience. #TIFF13

adamchitwood: A note on GRAVITY: Better to go in knowing as little as possible. 3D is essential. See on the biggest screen you can.

katerbland: GRAVITY left me literally weak-kneed. #TIFF13

katerbland: Also, as someone who doesn't care so much for 3D, I'm insanely happy that I saw GRAVITY in IMAX 3D. Highly recommend it for viewing. #TIFF13

I will be traveling across to another city for about 8 hours to watch it in IMAX next month. Though it's not true IMAX, it's still bigger than usual screens here. The true dome IMAX theater is in another state, contemplating that travel as well.

My thoughts on Looper and why I traveled eight hours to another city to watch it

Yep, as linked above, I also did it for Looper last year as they released only a dubbed Hindi version in our city instead.

Now we have a better multiplex Cinepolis, but still no IMAX.

I have been going to theatres on my own and with my friends since I was about 11 years old. And I know for many now, cinema experience doesn't amount to much. Besides reading comics, hobby of collecting and watching movies/TV at home, going to the theatres is still one of my favourite ways to enjoy movies and it is the thing that lets me to get transported to another world, so I still love that cinema experience. And I will continue to do it, no matter how big of a home theater setup I get.

Some movies which I have been anticipating for so long, if it doesn't make it to my city I won't mind traveling. But that rarely happens these days, as we got a good multiplex now and most movies arrive here, though some later than others.

This traveling plan is something similar to when some of the international bands comes to India and will be playing in selected two to four big cities, fans if want to enjoy the live experience have to travel.

Of course, I know hardly anyone will do it for movies, but this is important to me, so I don't mind spending the time and money for it.

When Gravity went into production, I was reading on how the director was approaching the design and cinematography, making it optimized for IMAX. And I knew then I was going to make sure to see it in IMAX. And judging by these reviews, that's the best way to experience it.

And to think, some of you guys can easily see it in your local IMAX theatres, but are skipping it due to the actress or subject matter. Ah..the joys and amenities of living in a first world country :D.

(Of course I understand their reasoning for not seeing it :)).

I can't imagine driving 8 hours to a theater, but I understand why you'd do it. I love seeing films on the big screen, and try to see as many movies in the theater as I can. Luckily, I'm only 10 minutes away from the closest ones...and that includes IMAX.

Well I won't be driving by myself, but will be traveling in a bus for 8 hours. Along with the return journey, will be 16 hours in total.

I believe Cameron- even on my small monitor the space shots are stunningly realistic!!!!!

Some more hyperbole ;).

Jeremy Slater, the writer for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

jerslater: "GRAVITY in IMAX 3D may be the most intense, immersive 90 minutes I've ever spent in a theater. Astonishing filmmaking."

Got tickets for next Sunday :panic:

Wow. I hadn't been aware of this film until I saw a review in Empire, 5 stars. Sounded very interesting and I just watched that trailer a few pages back. Suddenly this is an absolute must see.

I can't wait to see this. Hell, I was looking forward to Cuaron's next film even before I knew what it was. Children of Men is one of my favorites from the last ten years.
