Greek Gods?

ARH Studios likes to make medieval statues (Attila, Achilles, Leonidas), so I think they would continue making Greek Mythology statues after Medusa..

ARH is making some great pieces! They already made Sideshows Leonidas look bad and their Leo isn't even finished yet. It has nothing to do with the sculpting either. It's the art direction and design. Sideshow chose to pose Leo in a gay standing Greek statue stance and ARH made him in a sweet action pose. win for ARH.

I have a custom Hades and Poseidon that were custom painted by Dan Cope. The sculpts were done by Vinnie and Rocco Tartemella. I would love to see some type of Greek God PF line from Sideshow.

SSC's Leonidas I find too tanned and slimmer. And the cape just doesn't give the whole statue justice.

You know what would be cool!? A SS original collectibles line featuring Gods, demi-gods, monsters, etc. from different pantheons! They could name it the GODS AND MONSTERS line or something. And plus they don't have to pay licensing fees because they're public property! AWESOME!

Hmmm, I could see this as having a TON of potential and I would be very interested. A PF of Posidon or Apollo would be awsome.

However, the problem with Greek Gods is they are 90% interpretation and sometimes the image that I have in my head may not correlate at all with what Sideshow may have in mind; I know that kind of is the whole point of artistic direction, but I would hate to see Hades shown as a demon, Posidon as a fish-man, and I can only imagine what Sideshow would do to Athena.

I don't think Poseidon would have had the hots for Athena like he did if she was butch. People always screw that one up. Her charm was in the fact that she was a warrior, and a virgin, but still hot.

They would have to keep them human, and like I said at the top of the thread, they'd have to make sure they include crucial identifiers like Aphrodite's girdle, etc. As long as they maintained those parameters, I'd be happy. Just nail the fundamentals (and don't make Athena manly) and they'd be set.

Yeah, they do need certain things to identify them. Athena's Aegis, Hermes's Caduceus, Hercules's luxurious Nemean lion fur, etc.
I would really love SS to make a rendition of Hera with a peacock like this statue! Just pure awesomeness!
