How a bout a line based on Harryhausen's Classics, gods, mythical creatures in 1/4 scale or as Pf's. Perseus, medusa, Calibos, character from Jason, etc, now those I'd sell my soul for....
I've seen the puppets in the flesh as a kid, they blew me away, one of the reasons I'm obsessed with miniatures now.
Imagine a 1/4 scale perseus on the back of Pegasus in flight holding the head of medusa? that woul be well worth having, if we had the room.

How would it affect Athena's beauty?

It just wouldn't be necessary that she was beautiful for Hephaestus to pursue her. He would have already been jaded with Aphrodite, so not only would it be old hat, it would be the kind of old hat that gave you lice after she slept with everyone.

Not that any of that has anything to do with whether or not Athena was beautiful. I've always assumed that she was (though not the lusty beauty of an Aphrodite, or the girlish beauty of Artemis), but her warrior pedigree and virgin status has inclined people to downplay the possibility of her being physically (and effeminately) beautiful.

......................................butch.

I figured Persephone would have more of a "girlish" beauty. Artemis had to run around hunting things, after all.

I don;t know... i think they can take this route and make Athena look great:

They're always springing out of weird places... divine birthing scenes will definitely make onlookers pause and go "WTF?" if nothing else. I like it.

I bet she had amazing legs.

I always took her for an archetype of young Greek women. Didn't she wear the same short skirt that they did?

I agree.

Ouranos got his junk hacked off and thrown in the sea. It foamed up and washed ashore in the form of the most beautiful woman ever.

Stranger things have happened.
