I would love to buy this one but things are so tight right now with four Sideshow preorders heading my way that I just will have to wait. I did have the money a week ago but I had to get a Salty Ermey before the chance passed me by.
I'd love to see some pics of him though. Hopefully Michael Crawford will do a review up on this one sometime in the future.

Don't worry too much about it Screamer. I think you are better off with the Sideshow product. Is this figure limited? No one has made mention of it yet. I know Superman was. If it isn't limited you will be able to pick it up fairly easily at a later date, for a better price. After all these are 13 inch, stupidest thing I have heard of. Until Sideshow make them, it is about the only choice.

I'm sure it's limited although there is no XXX/5000 as there was on the bottom of Superman's boot. Personally I like GL more than Ermey, so I'd have gone with GL. I'd imagine he'll be available for around $45. Despite the scale, I'm very happy with him.

I just read in my copy of Toy Fare that the last 13" for 2006 is supposed to be Aquaman. I thought that was interesting.

So far, with the exception of Two-Face, I am really pleased with what is coming out of this line. I would have thought the Joker would have been the better villain choice though.

I will be interesting to see what sort of legs this line ends up having!

Apparently the line is doing well. I can see why they didn't do Joker as they couldn't do him right without a new body. Two-Face is a good compromise. The first pics of Two-face weren't great, but I think the ones from Toy Fair have redeemed him somewhat. Aquaman is a great choice considering the body type. Also Hawkman and Martian Manhunter could easily use it. I'd rather they didn't use it for Flash, but that may be inevitable.

I'm not really worrying about it. Although looking at my finances now I doubt I can get one next month. He is limited, not sure how manny there are but they won't be around forever. I just would like to get mine from DCBS cheap before they run out. Yeah 13" is a stupid idea especially for a normal guy who just puts on a ring but unless a 1/6 company other then DCD makes a accurate scale Hal Jordan Green Lantern, this is the best we'll get (other then make one my self).

I agree but Salty Ermey is getting hard to find at a decent price. So it was now or never.

"Lex" looks weird, what is that outfit he's got on? (I haven't read the comic book since 2000)

I wish they had just put him in a standard buisiness suite... That is how I saw him most of the time.

Well, you'd have to have read the books in the '70-80s to have seen that suit. For many of us it is how Lex is supposed to me (for an even older generation a grey prison outfit would be expected). Lex was a criminal mad scientist for most of his career, it was only in the late '80s that he became an ostensibly honest business tycoon. Personally I prefer the billionaire Lex, but there is a certain fondness for the purple suit.

The Aquaman info was incorrect, they meant the next 18" DCD figure(their PF-like line that started with Superman). Next 13" is still unannounced. Probably won't be until Lex is out.

Actually it isn't incorrect, but thanks anyway.

According to DCD it is. There has not been an announcement about the next 13" figure after Batman. This was clarified by action figure insider after Toy Fair.

Toy Fare (the magazine) is frequently wrong.

They just seem to lag in the shipping area somewhat. I don't know if thats because they do a large volume of busines, or if they do it on the side. Can't beat the prices though.

Yes, I am also patiently waiting. I just checked my account and the order is filled but awaiting shipment. It has been that way since Darth Kustomizer kindly informed us this figure was in. They have a large assortment of stuff at the Discount Comic Book Service, I don't think there share of the limit, factors that highly, on their proprity list of items to be shipped. They would have to have an orderly way of passing container loads of product into, through, and back out of their warehouse, it would all depend on where the boxes of Lanterns happen to be. I wouldn't expect any movement for at least a week and a bonus if it comes before. At their mighty price, as compared to retail, I can put up with any delay.Though I admit it will sell for around the same price here, with the shipping, but I will get it much sooner.

Where is the lanterns battery and switch? Batman didn't come numbered or certified. Is it the same deal with the Green Lantern, just where is the edition size information?

It seems to me there are various niggles but loads of visual excitement, enough to enjoy having him in my collection. I am happy with Batman Begins for what it is, and Superman also. Various niggles. Would hope the Flash is the one I remember from the seventies. Aquaman could be interesting. That's just it for me. Interesting line, but with so much Sideshow sugar, I'm almost hoping interesting wont be enough. I will more than likely be foregoing them for the company of choice's product, due to financial and room restrictions. I finally got to the stage when a company is competing for my room as well as my money. It does not bode well.

I now hand you over to Dave, to tell you of the long term effects of textile emissions on the Freaky people. Over.

Order is shipping. Check your accounts and if it hasn't shipped yet, it wont be long now. Due to the dropping exchange rate, it has cost me another US$8. You can't see me but I am biting my knuckle.

I just got a notice from DCBS myself. It must be another GL, I can't imagine what else I would have ordered from them.

Finally, got it, along with a bureaucratic headache.

After nearly a month, and it has been inspected by customs and hit with a A$50 quarantine inspection fee. Just a random check, which I have to pay for. I don't much like that so I am sending in my complaint, as well as a report that the officials damaged the box. Nothing that can't be fixed with a little paste, but I find myself having to pursue this course, at least to get a credit to pay for the fee. If they want to inspect my stuff, fine, but that is what my taxes pay for, not to reimburse the government for their time.

Why didn't they let me know? They only do that if it's value is more than A$700. A big disappointment which has soured the fruits of my patience in awaiting the Green Lanterns arrival. I have to agree with chamildav, I do like it better than Superman. The body might be anatomically pleasing visually, but they should have made it less so. Under tights it is too lumpy and bumpy. Less obvious on the Green Lantern, however. No certificate of authenticity, no mention of edition size. The packaging is good but the graphics are unimpressive. Very much an afterthought. The rest has already been said.

I would have expected some more posts from people who appeared anxious to get him in.
