I guess it would all come down to if they trust Sinestro enough to use Parallax to help with the BL and then to give it up afterwards. OBviously, they don't trust him enough to do so, although I think it would have made a better story if they did take the chance. Super charge Sinestro to help take out not only the Spectre, but the other BLs as well. I still want to know where the heck his corp is right now. Why aren't they either on Oa or Earth yet? Wasn't there some message from Sinestro in the Rebels when Brainiac was made a Sinestro to report somewhere? I know the BLs are all over the galaxy, but it seems like they could use more than just one deputy of each corps to help take out the big bad black lantern himself

And is John on is way to Earth or Oa? I can't remember. But he as certainly gotten the short end of the stick in this story. He's gotten like one issue all to himself and he has been MIA the rest of it it has seemed. But hey, he got a figure before Kyle, Guy, and Hal at least. Speaking of BN figures, why the heck did Boodika get one? I don't think I've even seen her in the background anywhere, let alone anything worthy of a figure.

For us it'd be spectacular although I fear what they'd make the combination look like but from the continuity point of view I don't know how they'd be able to stop a Paranestro or Sinellax after they handle the Black Lanterns. Hal nor Kyle can receive Ion due to their Parallax contaminations and furthermore Ion is the only think keeping Sodam Yat alive with the Daxam situation. The only other entity that we know of is Predator (The Sapphire Entity) who hasn't chosen a host and there isn't a power level known to it. A Sinestro/Parallax combination might be worse for the Lanterns than Nekron himself.

My thoughts exactly. That's why I was so excited to see Sinestro say, "I will be the one", as he unleashed Parallax from the four batteries. Warmed the cockles of my heart. I honestly don't know how the Corps would combat that in that form, particularly now with an entire Corps at his own disposal. It'd be a game-changer in the best possible direction from my point of view. :D Then again, I'd like for Atrocitus and particularly Larfleeze to play prominent roles in Brightest Day, and I doubt Sinestro would brook their existence very long once he took power like that; Larfleeze could probably be convinced to carve out a little piece and be left to his devices, but if Sinestro didn't need Atrocitus he wouldn't be likely to hesitate bringing the ax down on him. Nor should he be. I'm liking Blackest Night a hell of a lot, but Sinestro hosting Parallax and leading his own Corps would definitely seem to eclipse the threat presented by Nekron... so far. We haven't really seen Nekron cut loose yet, but this is just what I'm thinking based on what's happened so far. I could be wrong; I'm sure Nekron's quite the badass, but I've got to back Sinestro. Geoff Johns has done one hell of a job infusing the GL villains with personality. Sinestro, Atrocitus, and Larfleeze are all so distinct and remarkable as antagonists that it'd be nice if they stayed GL villains for quite some time. Nekron is certainly pernicious, but he seems more in the vein of a passive force as opposed to singularly individual. That's fine and whatnot, but it just makes him less remarkable to me.

For a minute there I thought Sinestro was gonna jump in there and take Parallax. Agree 100% that would be a crap sandwich that would just ruin the lanterns' day.

I still want to know where the heck his corp is right now..... Why aren't they either on Oa or Earth yet? Wasn't there some message from Sinestro in the Rebels when Brainiac was made a Sinestro to report somewhere? And is John on is way to Earth or Oa? I can't remember.... The Corp is on Mogo. He pulled them to them and upon arriving on Mogo they couldn't use their powers temporarily. Xanshii is on its way to Earth with John Stewart attempting to contact Oa and warn them, the thing is that in the presense of Blue Lanterns the intercommunication between Lanterns was interrupted through the Sinestro Corps War so with them all over the place one wonders if his communication got through.

Sinestro ordered his Corps to return to Korugar and protect it from the BLs. John has gotten the short end of the stick since 1995. He literally is the most "boring" Lantern. Johns is introducing the Marine aspect which was spun originally for the cartoon not in the books where he was an architect and is trying to use that to make the character more appealing but literally he is the forgotten Lantern as far as the books are concerned.

Boodika received a figure because she was originally slated for the Green Lantern line as was Saint Walker and John. They were folded into the Blackest Night line.

Is there going to be a final showdown?
It seems that the Lanterns just keep getting their butts kicked by more and more Black Lanterns.

Geoff Johns posted on his twitter that Brightest Day's introduction is directly tied to Blackest Night 8. That issue might be tough to get depending on what occurs in 7.

Brightest Day needs its own thread not just a continuation of this one. It won't just be a banner of tie-ins but include new comic series as well as its own massive story. Its not a GL Event (even though this wasn't really either) but a DC New Earth event like 52 or Infinite Crisis.

Cool-I see the new sticky already

Yup our mod in the DC area certainly is on his game....unfortunately we can't say the same for the Marvel ones. :lol

Can't say I'm happy to see another Wondy so soon, but at least we are finally getting a Hal!

Ugh. I'm so ____ing pissed I got an SDCC Hal, especially since Georg Brewer himself said that another Hal was a while away...I guess a while means a couple of months. The double Wondy is a bit disappointing but it'll be more disappointing if we don't get the rest of the recruits.

Well I think these guys are still 10 months out. That is over a year and a half since SDCC. :dunno

I definately want at least Luthor and Scarecrow. I would be fine with Atom being a pack in with someone else (small size of course). Maybe with Mera?

Here is the thing....according to ToyFare this was the schedule:

Wave 6 (November 2010)
-Arkillo
-Black Lantern Hawkgirl
-"Mystery" character
-"Mystery" character

Wave 7 (2011)
-Hal Jordan
-Scar/Terra 2 Pack
-Unannounced character
-Unannounced character

Its obvious that Hal replaced Arkillo which sucks and that Wondy and Barry were the mystery characters. What I'm worried about is that Georg's comments about wanting to do a Mera means that they aren't even considering her and if we end up with four out of the five that will be maddening.
