Passed on these---anyone read?

I got them and read them, Suicide Squad sadly seems like just a marketing ploy to get people to buy Secret Six. It was a decent issue but had no resolution in the end as the story continues in Secret Six.

Wierd Western Tales was an average read, probably better for anyone who likes the western DC stuff I supose.

I got them, but haven't gotten a chance to read them yet. Probably tomorrow afternoon after church. :lol

LMK if they are worth picking up---trying to cut back on the extra comics this year--did get WonderWoman--still need to read:lol

Wonder Woman´s kinda solid, but not that well either.
It just explains what happens to Diana when she got the black ring, fights with Mera and a conflict inside herself when she tries to rip the black ring from her finger and get´s summoned by a star stapphire.
They could have made all this tie-ins with the heroes way better, especially the ones ith guys like Doom Patrol and Suicide Squad.
Boring as hell...

Yeah, the order of the tie-ins are really pissing me off. Pretty much everything has already happened in them and we have to backtrack. I'm just glad there is only two more months of them. March will be a huge relief on the wallet with only 3 comics!

Two things. One: The Variant Cover for GL50 might be the first one I actually go after.

Two: I guess we know what is going on next

Alex Segura: OK Dan, I got your call, I’m here. It’s pretty early, even for us. This is a first for THE SOURCE – a live interview with you on the blog. Very exciting. What’s got you so jazzed up?

Dan DiDio: I’ll just get right to the point, Alex – we’re ready to announce everything that’s coming up after BLACKEST NIGHT.

AS: Wow, really? I’m glad I brought my notebook.

DD: And I’m happy to announce that for the DCU, after the BLACKEST NIGHT will come a BRIGHTEST DAY this April. A biweekly, 26-issue series, kicking off with BRIGHTEST DAY #0.

AS: BRIGHTEST DAY – that’s major. Who’s steering the ship creatively, though?

DD: As you can imagine, we’re really excited by the great work the teams behind GREEN LANTERN and GREEN LANTERN CORPS have brought to our fans every month. And, we just don’t want to let go of that just yet. So BRIGHTEST DAY will be written by Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi.

AS: And both GREEN LANTERN and GREEN LANTERN CORPS will have a BRIGHTEST DAY banner?

DD: Correct.

AS: Can you say anything about the artists on the book? I’d imagine, since it’s a biweekly book, you’d need more than one.

DD: Sorry to wake you and not give you all the answers at once, but we have to save a few for later. We have a number of wonderful artists slated to contribute to the book, which we’ll be announcing soon. We can say that Fernando Pasarin will be handling the art on BRIGHTEST DAY #0.

Wow! I guess that all but finally confirmeds White Lanterns. As long as they just stick with Green Lanterna and Green Lantern Corps tie ins, I'll get them. I just can't do a full on multi-crossover event again.

I agree----I will stick to main titles only

26 bi-weekly issues! Just in the Brightest Day line! NOT counting GL or GLC. Not to mention they've confirmed that the new Flash title, new Titans title and something to do with Mera and The Atom will all carry Brightest Day banners. This will make Blackest Night look easy...

Augh. I'm sure I'll want to know what happens after BN, but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with BD. I'll probably need to see a checklist before comitting.

Ditto for me on only sticking with the main issues and GL books. I'm already starting to skip some of the BN tie-ins because they are either too many to count, or characters that I know little background on and I just don't care to keep reading.
~~However, it did get me into reading Booster Gold which I think is a cool character.

Booster was probably the best regular title cross over. Ted coming back actually meant something to him, not that the others haven't for others, I just felt they did a better job with his.

Apparently this will be a full DCU event more than even Blackest Night. They are beginning to tout it as DCU Reborn so I'm interested in seeing what will occur in the last couple of issues of BN. The Flash, Titans, Justice League, Green Lantern all already will carry the Brightest Day banner and Johns referenced others who he can't say yet but will become clear before it starts so many people are thinking the return of some of the dead heroes.

I may look for subscriptions online to see if I can save some money and time because I don't think I could make it to the LCS or keep up realistically with all of this. Not to mention "War of the Superman" which is supposed to pit Kryptonians against one another as well as include Earthlings and Daximites and "The Return of Bruce Wayne" all occur within BD's time span.

That's why I enjoyed them. Others had emotional reactions/moments, but I felt that Booster Gold really put us in his shoes and displayed his heart felt reaction the most.

Wow, I guess then White Lanterns DO exist, huh?!
Would have wondered if it was otherwise, cause that stuff with dove steered to much in that direction.
I wonder though what Johns will retcon for that again...
:lol

Just finished BN Catwoman and I though it was a good read. But that's only cause a) I'm a Batfan and B) I also read Gotham City Sirens. If neither of the above apply to you then save yourself the scratch. It does have a great cover by Adam Hughes though so that's icing on the cake. For those that still want to know what happens.....

Blackmask comes back as a BL and hunts down Selina only to find that she odes not fear him so he finds her unappetizing. BM decides to go after her sister who's in the looney bin to try to rile up Selina who on the way lights a flare and Ivy and Quinn show up (no foolin!). Ivy and Quinn keep BM busy while Selina finds her sister, there's showdown and Ivy summons a giant plant to and it eats BM (No fooling!) Selina's sister jumps a nun and vows to destroy Catwoman
