Green Lantern---Blackest Night (Spoilers)

Depends. Even living in CA it'll cost me around the time of SDCC about $250 roundtrip which means for me and the ol' wifey that's $500. Rooms could cost about the same cost if not more and we haven't even equated cost of food, entrance, etc. You'd have to pick up quite a few figures and the like in order to outweigh the cost. You also can't really equate things you can buy outside of SDCC on a regular basis because it skews the data.

But SDCC has a lot more reasons to go besides just the exclusive toys. Green Lantern Panel this year perhaps?

I got my BN series 4 figures today as well. With Hal that gives me 7 Black Lanterns so far And seires 5 is ALL Black Lanterns so that goes up to 11! I just love them together as a group.

I can take a picture of mine. They are GL on the top shelf, colored lanterns on the 2nd, and Black Lanterns on the bottom

just bitter that my source ran out of Series 2, so I have to wait

They are shooting a ton of Hal footage in NOLA as well as the Abin Sur sequence is already in the can, I definitely expect footage, the logo even a shot of the ring but I have a feeling we will not see the costume just yet at SDCC.

I really like the Black Hand figure especially compared to the earlier release, the faux Batskull makes it almost worth purchase alone. I hate that Kyle's lantern is wrong (Reis didn't help matters by drawing it wrong in BN but he was trying to stay on time that continuity art errors were almost a given) but I had an extra from the JLA Kyle so my new Kyle is now accurate!

Thanks to Boba Ben, here is my Blackest Night collection with the GL series 3 Sinestro and Cyborg Superman thrown in.

My series 4 set should ship any day now, so I'll have 3 more BLs next week

I'm going to need more room though! With 4 more series to go, with at least 1 deluxe figure thrown in there!

Nice picture, BM. I was going to get out of the series after wave 3 (which are still in the boxes) but after seeing this maybe I'll stick around and try to get to wave 5 at least.

I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw a blurb that said that a "special" trailer is being prepared for SDCC that will "steal the show". So I have my fingers crossed we get something awesome.

Me and you both bud, I have alot of faith in Johns and knowing that he's a consultant on the film goes a long way with me. I'll be at that WB for sure wearing my GL shirt loud and proud baby!

On a separate note I just want to wish all you exclusive figure hunters luck at SDCC. After last years skittles Hal fiasco, I know I will NEVER be suckered like that ever again. I don't care what figures are offered.

If there is another GL SDCC Ex I'll be calling on a fellow freak to gtet one this year, last year trying to do it via eBay was ridiculous. I still don't have a complete set of Skittle Hal.

I dont know if its been posted in the thread, but a Green Lantern movie sneak peek is to be connected with the Clash of the Titans blu-ray release on July 27th

which is a week after SDCC

So, Im betting what we see at SDCC will be what is included with Clash

I read online that a teaser will be released prior to SDCC...I wonder if they'll include the SDCC footage whatever that is or the teaser...I'm sure the teaser will be just a couple of frames and the logo to music like most are...

Anybody here have the Blackest Night TPBs? Reviewers are saying that the books are collected by title, not chronologically. Meaning Something good happen in Green Lantern, then something else happens in Corps (which isn't included in the book you're reading), then when you read the next issue of GL, you have no idea about what's going on.

So my question to you is: What titles do the "main" Blackest Night story play out in. I assume that in order to get the whole story, I will need Blackest Night, Green Lantern: BL, and Corps: BL.

Is that all of them, or are there more?

edit: and by TPB, I mean the collected hardcovers, looks like they won't be in paperback 'til summer.
