Wish me luck guys. I'm going to try and hunt down those Rainbow Hal SDCC exclusives. First one is tomorrow night - regular GL. I'm hoping the 1 a day thing will drive people off. It did for me at first, but I'm liking Blackest Night too much now to pass them up.

I was trolling for a new Hal on eBay...picked up the original DCD 13" instead. :lol

Anyone knows what happens when black ring is fully charged?

I'm guessing that all h*** breaks loose! :D

BTW...there's some new GL statues coming soon! :banana

Looks like a build-a-scene with seperate statues.

This thread should be turned into a general Green Lantern thread since that is where its heading...

Ok...just read GL 44.

Wow. The shat has hit the fan. :horror

SPOILER ALERT!!

I thought it was bad with the Flash & Hal getting the crap beat outta them by J'onn J'onzz. But when the the Black Lantern Rings arrive at the ruins of the Xanshi homeworld, while John Stewart is there, and the ominous "RISE" is spoken...all I could think of is "OH SHAT!".

When the Rogue Guardian captures the other Guardians on OA and starts ranting, he says "The Black Lanterns are collecting hearts full of the splintered light...and soon it be his turn to rise." I'm wondering who he's referring to?

Since this is a SPOILERS thread, Geoff Johns usually does his homework, his Flash runs were phenomenal and turned a boring character into a must read. I would imagine its either A: A villain from GL's past that most of the general populus has forgotten, B: A new introduced Fallen Lantern of the past a kin to Sinestro's story or C: They are going back to the Parallax well.

Interesting that the statue is all kinds of inaccurate. John Stewart is wearing his Animated costume, Guy Gardner has a mix between old costume, the jacket whose collar is too flared out and new with everything else but still seems to be sporting the old bowl cut instead of the shorter hair he is wearing now, Kyle is in his origins suit which is sad because his new suit is a nice combination of it already and Hal seems to be in his Reborn suit whereas the newer suit doesn't have such severe cuts into the black.

Maybe its supposed to be showing origin looks but Stewarts is inaccurate still...Is this DC Direct?

Interesting news about the Blackest Night figure line (Still no confirmation on what Wonder Woman will look like or whether or not she'll be a Lantern of any kind):

IGN Comics: We notice Hal Jordan and Sinestro aren't among the figures - is that simply because you've been releasing Hal and Sinestro in other lines?

Brewer: Our collectors (thank you all) tend to stay with our lines for some time, so we felt that the relatively recent releases of the figures satisfied the need. Their scale and sculptural style where a perfect fit for the line, and we had another plan for Hal from pretty early on as a key player for our summer convention exclusive.

IGN Comics: You mentioned more figures planned for the Blackest Night line. Some of our more favorite creatures in the Blackest Night series - such as Arkillo, Mogo or Dex-Starr - are a bit out there. Are characters like that a bit tougher to pull off, particularly if they're, say, a Green Lantern planet?

Brewer: The wider Corps is filled with cool characters that we would love to play with sculpturally. As we continue to add to this line some of the ones you mentioned may find their way in. I've asked my production team several times where the manufacturing quotes are for our scale 1:1 Mogo figure, but I think it is bogged down in some silly discussion about packaging and shipping issues. I'll have to ask again...

IGN Comics: Are there plans to do more deluxe items like oversized action figures or statues? Are those a bit tougher to time to storylines as you have with Blackest Night?

Brewer: We have a number of GL related product coming out in the next year, which we hope will help extend the Blackest Night fun. Props are always tricky as they each present unique manufacturing challenges, while statues can be easier than actions figures because the production time is a bit shorter. Our multi-colored ring Prop and quarter scale Hal statue hopefully will extend this program and satisfy collectors of all stripes. We have a few more things in the hopper so keep watching dcdirectonline.com!

IGN Comics: Anything else you'd like to add about DC Direct's Blackest Night action figure line-up?

Brewer: Blackest Night has work for us on a number of levels, and presented the perfect opportunity for DC Direct at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. When we were kicking around ideas for our exclusive figure, this seemed a natural fit. Seeing Hal in the uniforms of the various colored Corps is an interesting story point and makes for some cool figures. From the costume designs to the packaging these figures will be essential for anyone who wants to complete their Blackest Night collections.

Looks like there might be 13" Black Lanterns on the horizon....I wonder who.

Also it was confirmed that the Green Hal that was the SDCC Exclusive is just a redeco of the Superman/Batman Hal and not an actual new figure but with remodified head and metallic paint.
