Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

At the end of the day it'll probably depend on sales, but I'm pretty hopeful for the line.

I think it's difficult to say considering Hot Toys' track record when it comes to certain lines. Afterall, we got three figures from the Spirit. We're also getting at least two figures from Sucker Punch. Both of those movies pretty much flopped.

So based on that alone we should be getting some more Green Lantern figures. Then again Inglorious Basterds only got 2 figures, and the expendables only got one so far.

Who knows.

Wolverine only got one. Same with Blade II. RE Afterlife looks to only be getting a single figure as well.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

^ We also got an Abagal Whistler, not from BLADE II but still a Blade entity from the franchise.

It prob has to deal with time and HT has so much on there plate. It will deal with sales or how complex the one figure can be, as opposed to 2 regular figures. Hal & Sinestro are a must!

I only need one.

Will the feet look like a barefoot Mayan's dipped in latex rubber?

Abigail < Nomak who would've sold better and displayed better with Blade. :huh

I don't look at it the same though given they released a TT with a Drake head on it to display with her. Actually, scratch Wolverine. He got a Gambit head on TT too. So just Blade II got nothing else.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

I wouldn't be shocked if we saw this slated for Q1 2012.

what do you mean, surprised because they pushed it back that much?

or

in joy, because the license was just announced in june?

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

The buzz on the movie died so quick I'm not sure I even expect a figure anymore...

Though realistically we probably will see something at one of the upcoming toy shows, would be really stupid to pay for the license and not make anything

yes, i'm hopeful they show us something at ANICON, their american theater booth does say "Green Lantern" on it though, so....

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Yeah. For real. People will forget about this movie if they don't...people already did forget about this movie.

But I'll still get a Hal Jordan figure.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

I really want to see some pics of the prototypes :monkey2

I haven't forgotten about the movie and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the DVD/BR are gonna do enough to warrant a sequel. Watchmen did similar and wound up being a bigger success on DVD. Overall, I think GL was misunderstood and unappreciated.

I agree with this.

Those that dont follow the comic, probably thought it childish and silly when he made the helicopter into a hot wheel. But thats the personality that the ring draws off of. Immature and brash. I mean, he makes boxing gloves with the ring in the comic.

I dont consider it the best comic movie ever, but it sure as hell is better than alot of them

Wasn't there mention somewhere the other week that a sequel is planned already??

Either way I enjoyed the movie & all the DC Animated movies so far as well & I'd never been a hug GL fan before them but I am now & I'm desperately trying to work backwards through some of the comics to get upto speed before I start on Blackest night.

I'd love a Hal GL figure but I'm not sure if I'd like it to be based on Ryan Reynolds or more like the Comic face wise.

It was my understanding that they were waiting to see the tally from the DVD/BR sales before confirming. :(
