Yeah, I'm sure he's just naked and not actually skinned, but he does look like one of those human musculature anatomy pictures.

I can't wait to see this movie but the Lantern's costume will take some getting used to.

I'm a boy who loves ****ies and I think Ryan Reynolds is dreamy.

I get lost in his eyes...:love

:dunno That's not gay. Simply one man comfortable enough with his own sexuality to openly admit that another man is attractive!

I mean...so what if I picture Ryan Reynolds when Im making love to my wife...:slap Oh crap...I better go have a chat with the Mrs. :rotfl

:lol

Looks awesome. I think that just him naked and not skinned. Looks awesome.

It does look awesome!

Not at all. They're too big.

Kevin Kelly: Footage starts out, a voice talks to us and welcomes us as "Inhabitants of Sector 2814" and tells us to focus on the green light on screen.

11:58 Kevin Kelly: As we do, the footage begins. You see Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan discovering Abin Sur's crash site.

11:59 Kevin Kelly: You see the ring in his hand. It's sizeable, dark green, and looks semi-transparent.

11:59 Kevin Kelly: Brief looks at the fin-headed Lantern from the Green Lantern Corps... I've forgotten his name.

11:59 Kevin Kelly: Reynolds swipes down three baddies with a huge green fist.

11:59 Kevin Kelly: Then there's a brief shot of OA.

12:00 Kevin Kelly: And that's it. The whole time, Reynolds' voice is reciting the Green Lantern code.

Kevin Kelly: Martin Campbell, "The costume is always a work in progress. We have the black and green, and we lost the white gloves. We felt it looked cooler and far more interesting without them. There are certain lines on the costume, and it's more like a skin on GL than a costume. The lines are all lines of musculature, which our designer came up with. It is a work in progress. It will eventually look incredibly cool."

Ryan Reynolds: "My Hal Jordan is a cross between Chuck Yeager & Han Solo."

The costume will "eventually" look incredibly cool??? :slap

The footage they showed was positive from every site reporting but Martin Campbell admitted that the fan outcry about the costume will lead to revisions. My guess is that we'll get an Iron Man 2 situation where things are changed and altered right up until release. Interestingly enough they never showed Ryan in full costume.

Loosing the white gloves will not turn out "cool"

Come on now.... if white gloves is going to be a problem, you probably shouldn't be watching the movie to begin with. I'd guess Green Lantern is much more than just white gloves...

Really can never understand the undying and rigid idea comic readers get when it comes to costumes in the comic being changed for the movie and this comes from someone whose been reading for 30+ years. They could make the gloves black for all I care, as long as the movie is well done and it looks like so far they are doing a decent job.

Its not a deal breaker for me but rarely do Hollywood sensibilities improve on the original designs.
Apparently many agree or the director wouldnt have made that statement above.

White gloves have been phased out by media for the past 20 years. I'm not surprised they would do it here especially after seeing the design for First Flight.

Ladies and Gentleman I give you Sinestro:

I love the scarring on the face. Gives that appearance of history and battles.

Agreed - can't wait for the full reveal, still hoping there's no long hair (unless they already decided to remove that... which i'm not aware of)

I believe they did. Strong mentioned they were going for the original Sinestro look that we see with the thin mustache instead of the full goatee like we saw in the conceptuals.
