Warner's has thanked the fans..... it's sitting in Orlando :)

Honestly I don't see the upside for Warner's in bring the actors, especially since the filming is long done. Harry is a forgone conclusion when it comes to fans, they will be there no matter what for the movies.

Other than the few neat moments at the GL panel, it looked pretty boring but I have high hopes for the film and a bad panel isn't going to sway me one way or the other.

I've only been to SDDC a few times but its gotten so far away from being a comic con to a movie/tv show con, I'd rather go to the smaller con's where I can actually move and have a conversation with an artist or writer.

Different strokes I quess.:dunno I love the entertainment portion of Comic Con. I went to smaller Cons as a kid and they are boring compared to SDCC. I like that people like Jon Favreau or the guys from Lost bring a lot to show each year, whether it's the beginning of promoting something or the end.

It's pretty much become Entertainment-Con instead of Comic-Con, which I honestly have no problem with.

Ya thats pretty much it and being old and grumpy the wating in line all day for one panel or the crush of the crowd wears on a person, don't get me wrong I enjoy SDDC and the cool stuff but on another level I like to interact with the comic folks and it just doesn't happen anymore at SDDC.

This is one of the reasons I haven't gone to SDCC. While it looks fun I don't like being cramped and with the latest blogs/forums/sites I can see everything without actually going.

But think about all stimulating fanboy banter and exotic fanboy smells you're missing!

You're welcome everyone.... (in regards to my new avvy) ;)

Wanted to say thank you to you in another thread when I first saw it. Thought maybe that was you hunni?!?! :thud:

EDIT:

Um oh yeah, and Green Lantern is going to rock too! There, stayed on topic. However, hunni you didn't! :wink1:

My avvy is on topic since she's in the movie. :lol ;)

Can't really argue with you on that.

You are still a distraction...just like your "avvy". Not that I care what we were talking about in the first place.

Wait, actually I do,....

GL Panel = epic Fail. We got like 45 seconds of footage. Sure it was all 'complete' but still, it was freaking short.

Captain America has been shooting for only EIGHT days and they showed off 5 times as much footage as GL. DC needs to learn to win over the fans like Marvel is. :slap

While I'd expected more (and think they should have at least shown it twice) I was fine with the footage that was shown. Fans have become too spoiled by seeing too much of movies too soon anyway.

That said, I came away from SDCC with much more confidence in this film than in Captain America. Martin Campbell is going to make Joe Johnston his _____.

:goodpost: I agree. Iron Man kind of started it IMO. They showed off so much stuff in 2007 that everyone expects a full out trailer for stuff. I'd prefer confidence from the cast/directors/producers than a bunch of footage thrown together for a quick trailer for SDCC.

:exactly: Seconded.

The sad thing is....I will still be there at the midnight screening for Caps no matter what. Yet I'm actually planning to see GL twice, midnight screening in 3D and then again in 2D. If any movie can benefit from 3D, I'd say GL.

3D GL will only be good if it was FILMED in 3D. If it was converted, you need to skip it.

3-D = lame gimmick. End of story.
