Reviews are starting to come in and people are paralleling this to the first Raimi Spider-Man. Not sure if that is good or a bad thing...People are saying how shocked they are at how serious Ryan Reynolds is in the film and that Blake Lively is a little bland.

Its one of the best Marvel movies out. I still enjoy it quite a bit when I see it. So if GL comes out to that level I'd be pleased. I'm thinking this has a chance to match Thor for awesomeness (for me anyways).

Not a huge fan of the Lantern chracter, but it actually made like him a million times more. Great way to start the franchise IMO

Be careful though if you read through there are a ton of spoilers from the film, some I wish I hadn't read myself...

I guess you could say that enthusiastically, again if you liked the tone of the first spiderman you will love it. If you're looking for something more Dark Knightish, change your expectations.

Having read two drafts of the script, they originally had a bunch of fanboy wanks like X:FC that seem to have been taken out. It appears that you can make a lot of parallels with the first Spider-Man movie....
