You know what, screw it, I'm with you guys after thinking this over. Scrap it and resculpt. I'm probably going to need the break anyway since it looks like shipping for Ivy in January, Batman in March, probably Superman in July and Wonder Woman near there, that's plenty of time for them to resculpt by next Spook.

I dislike bashing SS but I agree. This piece is going to rot in the warehouse. I love Batman and Supes PF but I won't ever buy this piece. Too shiny and it looks like a rushed design. IMO it doesn't even look like a SS piece. It looks like they took short cuts in making him. Just all around poor execution. They should do a complete redesign to match the quality of the amazing PFs for Batman and Supes. I'm buying those two already. I'm avoiding this one without a doubt. If they do a redesign, make him mixed media, get rid of the gimmicky toy-like light up base, I obviously would be down for purchasing him.

Slightly but i saw the movie today and I was expecting a turd but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
Mark Strong was amazing and I really like the design and cinematography of Oa. Ryan Reynolds is a convincing Hal too.
The writing was subpar but still serviceable.

I agree. It wasn't the biggest piece of turd that people said it was. I went in with very low expectations though.
To me though, Green Lantern the animated movie is still my Green Lantern movie.

The Green Lantern movie didn't fail because of bad casting or poor production, as a matter of fact those are it's bright spots.


It fails because of Poor Direction, especially where the actors are concerned, and the worst reworking of Emerald Dawn to date as the script.

The entire Green lantern Corps sits back and let one of their own take on an entity trying to decimate not only a planet but the entire galaxy?? Who was high that day?

I think the biggest flaw with the movie was the tried to smash the entire Hal Jordan story + one of the bigger green lantern events all into one movie.

If they had spread it across a couple and been able to give a more quality story it would have been great. The casting and effects were good they were just setup for failure.

"OK, we're going to have Sinestro be the villian in the second movie. So lets make sure we show him questioning the Guardians. And we can sneak the yellow costume into the credits, and we can... what? Oh yea, the movie. Um, make a big smoke cloud that hal sets on fire with a blowtorch. Wha? He cant make a construct that emits fire? Enh, no one will notice"

I really hope Warner gets there stuff together soon. I can't take too many more Bad non-batman movies.

What do you think the odds of them changing it are?

Not sure..... it's just too much shine with it all glossy... the translucent green light up feature and the only non shine area is the portrait which is great.. by the way..
