Buy what you want, but just remeber that Drakul is probably right that they will visit guys like John Stewart, Guy, and Kyle before they come back to Hal.

I totally admit to being on the fence with this one ... but ONLY because I have a lot of things that I am anticipating coming up in the next little while... Including a possible Iron Man Maquette that will come with a Legacy mark up... so thinking it through. I am like Kinger .. if I don't love it I won't need to have it... and though I am liking this more and more... not at the love it stage yet:lecture......... I may take the risk and flex pay it... and if I don't like the inhand pics see about transfering my payments to something else like the Superman PF or Ironman ... Anyone not think the Superman PF won't be up for PO by August... lol

@ Spidey

I have no idea when Supes is going up for PO. I was expecting it to go up anytime months ago but now I have no idea?

But anyway I'm really happy I've got this coming. Hoping to get all the JL characters

One EX less, I finally gave in, disliked it when first pics came out about the head-body unproportional problem but after considering all the changes made I will give them a chance to make it right, at least somehow....

I'm passing on GL....made my decision...I don't love it...so I'm fine with a custom later down the road. It seems like they did tweak it a tad bit, but mostly just better pics.....

i honestly believe that they will wait till after batman pf has shipped to put superman up for preorder. i'd love to be wrong but supes will have a large ES just like batman did and i don't think they can handle that much inventory at once.

That makes no sense.

they dont have the inventory on hand when they open up pre orders.

They could put the next 10 DC PFs up for preorder tomorrow, and not hurt their inventory space.

:exactly:

We will most likely have this in hand next year if it went up for order this month anyway.

I definitely think the more natural light pictures make this PF look way better. The dramatic lighting exaggerates the super muscle definition even more than the sculpt alone. As I'm not going to be displaying this in theater-esque lighting I'm excited to have it.

THIS is the shot that tempts me the most

He wears the ring on the right hand so the construct has to come from there.

Good point. They made the statue backwards then! lol

They just announced Neal Adams is going to be at the Denver Comic Con this summer. I think I might just have to get a Hal Jordan sketch commissioned from the legend to hang over this piece.

you're ok with anatomy that is screwed up that badly, but will commit page after page of commentary about Batman's eyes? :cuckoo:

There is nothing technically wrong with the anatomy here, but it is overblown/over defined. It looks like the artist was looking to more at the base musculature, kind of like a Burne Hogarth's study. Where as an artist you need to decide how much you are going to show, and what you are going to leave out, and i think this sculptor showed a little to much personally.
However, it doesn't look as bad in full lighting as it does in the darker more dramatic lighting SSC originally took the pics in.
As for the Batman thing ... Well I am not the one who keeps being it up dude. Just Sayin.

while I agree that technically anatomy can look just about any way depending on what someone does to their body. However, that doesn't mean that its "normal" anatomy. There are "technically" people who have elephantitis as part of their anatomy, but I certainly wouldn't want a statue made depicting that. So while "technically" a person could look the way Hal is depicted here, Hal doesn't look like that in the comics. And I am definitely not going to spend $350 on a statue that gets described as "doesn't look as bad in full lighting"

Looks a lot like a lot of pics drawn in comics to me, but in the end sculptures are a different art form. I also JUST said that though this may be technically correct it is overblown. I also haven't ordered this yet I am still thinking about it because it looks better then it did in the SSC pictures, but I never said you had to csi. However, I remember someone telling me these pictures don't necessarily do these pieces justice.

so we agree that while "technically" correct, its not normal?

Not sure why your defending buying or not buying, or why you felt the need to clear up that your not trying to make me buy it, I never suggested either. I was just curious why you so dramatically pointed out flaws of one sculpture, but almost defend the ones in this one. As always in the end people will buy what they like and pass on what they don't. Just curious how this particular one makes the grade in your book.
