Due to sales? Maybe, but it's all because of ignorant fanboys that aren't really gamers. They like GTA, socom, sports, and racers, that's its. And they suck. Anything with a real story and heart to it sucks to them.


GTA IV while a good game, really doesn't do anything new for series. By standers are still dumb as ever, I want them to have genuine reactions. When you flip a car right in front of people they just walk around like nothing happened. I want them to scream and run away in fear.

I can run red lights and hit people without the cops getting on my tail, little details like this still slip by.



My opinion, MGS4 will put this game to shame, no matter how many fanboys claim it's the greatest game ever.

i never claimed it to be the greatest ever...just so far. i am sure MGS4 will me AMAZING.

and i agree with some of the questionable AI reactions. but it's still a really good game.

I consider myself a gamer. But your argument is really, well, kinda lame. And please, take no offense to that. Let me explain...

Since when did gaming split into two factions? What's the difference between a gamer and a fanboy? I'm both. Lets see here... I like playing video games, and i'm true to some franchises like Madden, Metal Gear, GTA, Mario, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Call of Duty, etc....

Anybody who plays video games is a gamer. Why? They (or mommy and daddy) have invested $$$ into a system in which they have fun with.

I think it's pretty unfair to say that "fanboys" stick to certain games, and "suck".

And whoever calls either GTA4 OR MGS4 the greatest game ever, shouldn't say that. Because i'm sure next year, or the year after, we'll all be calling something else the greatest game ever. Either way, I wouldn't lump people who play videogames into categories. We're all just gaming, doing the same thing.

I like sports games & racers a lot, vut have also loved games like Bio Shock as well. I'd hardly say that people who enjoy sports games and racers aron't "real gamers who suck". I am not that big a fan of GTA4, but I also think your argument is rather weak.

You say you can run red light w/o the cops coming after you? If you want THAT level of involvment then go play The Sims where you even have to tell your character to go to the bathroom. A game like GTA4 would be very tedious to play if you had to worry about being chased by the cops every time you ran a red light.

I get tired of the meat head college guys that think everything that isn't either socom, tom clancy, madden, halo, a racer, or GTA, sucks.

They most likely don't even know what MGS, thinking it's too slow, as anything from japan sucks. So they have no taste in great games, such as epic RPGs.
And of course any shooter that isn't halo or COD, isn't worth playing.

So I'm not saying if you enjoy one of the those genres then you can't be a gamer, but if that's all you enjoy and cannot appreciate anything else, then you aren't.

LOL. I consider myself a hardcore gamer and have a very healthy social life, perhaps I'm the exception rather than the rule? That's just what's in your mind though.

I gotta admit if a cop was after you every time you ran a red light in this game that would become VERY annoying.

Besides it says in the LC guide that LC cops look past that in LC cause of all the other crime in the city.

After watching this again, I swear they changed it.... it says you can only survive for a couple minutes there now. I'm going crazy...

Just get the 6 Stars and then go in one of your houses. They never come in. And then just run out and die after you get the achievement.

I love it!! It's a great game, with endless fun... Can't wait for Saints Row 2.

After a week or so away from this game I don't find myself missing it very much. I might go back and finish the story at some point, but I doubt I'll give the multiplayer anymore time.

I took a break during finals at school from it, and it seems to be working b/c I want to play it more than ever now. Maybe just take a breather for a little while more? I find the missions entertaining.
