You excited for Andromeda?

For starters, I haven't bought a PS4/XBONE yet (I'm waiting for the PS Exclusives like GoW and Spider-Man) and my PC hasn't been upgraded in a while, so it can't handle it. Apart from that, the whole animation/glitch scandal has really soured me, and it just doesn't have that "epic" feeling. All of the characters look like cardboard cutouts, and, much as I'm ashamed to admit it, the sexiness of the Original characters is... gonna. And I don't just mean Miranda's ass or Samara's bewbs. They all look... average.

I guess that's the point, since they're taking a more "Star Trek" approach, but eh, it doesn't do it for me. I'll get it at some point, just 'cause of my completionist complex, but I can wait. Besides, I ain't got lots of free time.

Glitch scandal? was this an industry wide thing or just a ME:A thing?

But I agree, it looks fun but it doesn't have that magic touch the OT had, (even though 3 was ****).

Poor wording. I meant all the glitches with the animations. It's just a ME:A thing, but it's... bad. Really bad...

that's too bad.

have early reviews started hitting already? I wonder what the average score is.

edit: Metacritic scores aren't too bad. but still left some to be desired.

It's in the 80s, IIRC. Still, considering my limited time, I ain't gonna drop 60$ on a clearly unfinished game. Maybe later, during the discount period. It's also this feeling that this isn't a "real" Mass Effect game, y'know? It's as if this is a side-story in the main series. Kinda like buying the Red Robin tie-in to the Batman event.

It really is.

And you know they'll have some "GOTY" edition with all the DLC for 40$ a year down the line, with most of the bugs probably fixed.

I wish they would just let Bioware release it when it's ready, the whole state of the gaming industry is getting so greedy that they barely release functional games these days.

Ain't that the truth. Personally, I haven't bought a game, since... what? 2013 or so. I was tempted to buy Witcher 3, but I want to finish 1 & 2 first. Everything feels... lifeless and rushed. I have high hopes for GoW 4 & PS4 Spider-Man, so there's that.

I still buy games pretty regularly, but not like I used to. I usually wait for the best deal

I have been playing the new GR game, and I'm surprised at how well everything works, and how pretty it is. (especially for ubisoft).

I also copped the game STEEP on the xbone sale for pretty cheap a few weeks ago, it's a fun game to just get stoned and play. I used to have so much time for gaming, but now that's changed so I typically go with something that just passes time more then anything. :lol

It's funny that they haven't spoken much on the spider-man game, it looks really good. Maybe because they're pushing that robot dinosaur game so hard atm?

Also, I don't know if it's on steam, but "Not a Hero" is probably the funnest I've had gaming in 2017 so far.

I do have a bunch of stuff on my backlog, but these days I don't really have the time to game. I'm watching more tv shows, since I can time it more neatly, whereas with a game, you might reach a critical point and not be able to save, and thus go over the 1 hour mark break.

I only buy the Gears games new

I think he's talking about God of War, which I'm pretty excited for too.

Gears 4 was fun, but didn't have much staying power.

Yeah, I was talking about God of War. The only Gears game I've played is 3, which I liked well enough.

Judgement was the only letdown of the series. Story was great, gameplay sucked

That was the one with Baird, right? I never got into Gears or Halo, mostly because I didn't own an X-Box at the time, so they passed me by. I got both Gears 3 & Halo 3 when I got a 360, but I never went back to replay them. The reverse happened with ME though. I bought 3 for PC when it came out, and then I bought the trilogy collection for the 360. Then the disc for 3 got scratched or whatever, so I bought 3 once again to carry over my saves. I've got to tell you, it was a PITA having to finish ME3 about 3 times.

Yeah it's a prequel set before Gears 1
