Do some research... the housing collapse was being set up long before Bush took office.

Trust me, I am very well versed on the subject. And while I understand the housing crisis, to say this was the only factor to the economic crisis is absurd. You should do some research. I don't want to go into it, cause well, political threads suck...but I'll say some random words that may or may not mean anything: sitting on his hands, tax cuts for the rich, Iraq, more gov't spending, deregulation. "Why did the financial collapse have to happen on my watch?" Life isn't fair, George.

Best words in this fail of a thread.

Gross understatement. This is the Chase Sampson of threads.

The housing crisis is exactly what sparked this crisis and the Bush administration wanted tighter regulations for Fannie and Freddy. The Dems wanted everyone in a house that they couldn't really afford.

The 'rich' earned their money, they shouldn't have to foot the bill for everyone else all the time. How about a flat tax?

Is that all you liberals do is point the finger at Bush to justify your messiah Obama's out of control spending?

Meh, you got a couple digs in on me. I just think it's funny that you say you agree with Kolar about not doing things to piss people off and yet you've done it to me and you've done it to Bad Moon.

Well, I thought you liked arguing and debating?... :dunno...
Besides, if you call me names, well... expect a response... don't be naive...

As far as BM he's always yanking chains and rattling cages, to get some attention...

What? Anarchy? Pandemonium? The world will collapse upon itself? Please. The system has always been gamed. Don't think anything or anyone is going to change that. I will always love America no matter what the future brings and not cry about it being "gone." This will always be my country.
:goodpost:

In reality, this has nothing to do with "socialism" and if so, I guess it didn't "fail" after all... :lol
Politicians on both sides are corrupt and out of touch with reality,
The rich will get richer, and the poor, poorer... history of the world since the dawn of civilization unfortunately...

Of course, but never once have I personally insulted you the way you have to me. Just sayin. :lecture You would have a ____ fit if I did that to you.

Really?
Don't play the victim here dude... you've written A LOT of offensive comments directed towards me... sorry if I don't get your "humor"...
Anyway... I'm out of here... :wave

All Michael Jackson related. NOT towards you. :dunno Guess you take that personal. Which is kinda :cuckoo:

Wow... just wow.

Easily the best thing in this thread :lol :lol

If this turns into a political bashing thread, it will be closed.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more of that in other schools. Though The Mike may not agree with me. :monkey3

:lol It depends on the population of the school. Depending on where your kids go to school depends on what is deemed acceptable and non-acceptable. Don't get me started on the forced multiculturalism that is in our district, that is a whole other 20/20. Then again I'm a little jaded because I never believed that the school's "Decorate your room so your kids get to know a little about you as a person" always equals race and culture.

Back to the story at hand, as expected the district pulled any disciplinary actions against the kids and will have everything wiped from their records. Which means that schools trying to be parental or overzealous with the PC attitude have the situations blown up in their faces again. Now they have a completely different problem, the Hispanic students are crying racism and are threatening continous walkouts and other civil disobediences.

I say let them walk. If they miss enough days, they can make it up in summer school or be held back. If they can't handle seeing US flags on Cinco de Mayo or get offended by people yelling USA in the USA - then what are they doing in this country? I just really don't see how a couple of disruptive kids chanting USA can be seen as racism in this country. What a sad state of affairs this has turned into.

Yes the kids were disruptive and should not have been allowed to attend the festivities or should have gotten detention for disruption. But this is getting out of control and is beyond ridiculous. Shame on all the adults involved in this because they are just adding more fuel to the fire and using their kids as pawns.

Looks like you got some multiple personalities going on there. :lol

ughhhhh....
These kids were trying to be a bunch of hot shots...There is no politics involved here, its just a bunch of spoiled brat kids trying to get there kicks by messing around with a topic that is highly sensitive to cause problems for their teachers....THATS IT. THERE IS NO MORE TO SAY HERE FOLKS. These kids need a good spanking from their parents and thats about it...My grandfather has a word for kids like this, "____disturbers".

LOL... Most of the kids celebrating 'Cinco de Mayo' probably don't know the history behind it or why they celebrate it.

I bet there is a VERY small number of those Mexican kids wearing red, white, and blue on July 4th.

And why not?? They're Americans. Unless you were born in another country and became a citizen later, you're just plain AMERICAN.

The word racist gets bandied about so much anymore. People like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King would surely be ashamed if they knew actual racism was being bastardized to include someone who is offended.

Nope, I am trying to figure out how you ignore Bush's "out of control" spending and say "oh he did his best to stop Fannie and Freddie (ie not y) Mac." No he didn't. Almost everyone knew this was coming, and Paulson warned Bush about the collapse. Bush did nothing to heed those warnings, except increase spending and promote financial irresponsibility: "Go shopping everyone! Go to Disneyworld!" Well it's time to pay the bill. Defend him all you want, but even conservatives acknowledge he was a huge gov't spender (and I am not even talking about the two wars), hence where everyone is getting the "Obama is Bush" mantra. And I am no liberal.
