I dunno, I think I enjoyed man of steel better than this even with its stupid plot holes and flaws.

This just didn't have enough of what was suppose to be special about it.

I don't know. It was simple. And I found that completely likable.

It was as if someone was telling you about the things they loved, but in a really positive way, and you can tell why they love it.

I don't really want to bring Man of Steel into this...but that movie broke me.

Uhh....the Hong Kong scene alone is actually 24 minutes (give or take) and all up I believe the Jaeger vs Kaiju scenes actually total close to 50mins.

In Russia or China releases are their countries jaegers the star? I thought it was such a waste with those 2. Would have liked to see what they could do verses getting destroyed in a few minutes.

Man ! I hope G 2014 is way better than this. this is basically Transformer 4 vs Sea Mosters

This was the same race who brought dinosaurs to our world and they all looked the same, too.

Dinos were very different. Various colors and types. Only diff with these kaiju were the levels/size. Otherwise they were cookie cutter IMO. I do get why they were that way in the movie but its a cheap out in design, again, IMO. The Mist had a rift and different type/looking things came through. They could have easily went that route but it was technically easier to makes them the same more or less.

Dinosaurs existed on the Earth about 165 million years. Lots of time for variation.

Kaiju existed on the Earth about 10 years.

You're assuming they were various colors because we have drawn them that way. Hell, they could have all been a transluscent purple, and we wouldn't know. The Mist was drawing from Stephen King's novel, so he did all the heavy lifting. And as someone who read that story, and hated the movie (for it's ending) they approximated King's descriptions. The Kaiju were cool looking. And if you are cloning a creature, making tweaks to it's strength, size, endurance etc I think the last thing you would care about is making them exotic colors, and very different.

far from cookie-cutter IMO. The designers are some of the best in the biz.... :monkey1
