Nice review Shai, you were indeed looking for something in the smarts department while this movie had none of them. BTW you mentioned the characters and story, but what about those Jagaer vs Kaiju scenes, did you happen to notice that by any chance and enjoy them at least?

Those scene were nothing we havnt seen yet in other movies. Like I say, nothing in this movie was good.

I think they did. But he cut them out for time. The original cut is 3 hours long, with more character development.

But the studio wanted something shorter, so there you go. Extended cut.

Didn't expect it, but after I posted my Pacific Rim review link on Twitter yesterday, Ron Perlman followed me.

And earlier today I was chatting about the 3D post-conversion with others on Twitter. Ron Perlman didn't retweet me but re-posted my exact tweet about 30 mins ago .

3D conversion was kind of bad though. Quite a few times the close-ups were really awkward and there were lots of elements that weren't properly separated out. Along with a lot of cardboard cutout type stuff. Also--when Mako is walking in the rain towards the helicopter at the beginning, notice the CG rain on her umbrella isn't actually on her umbrella, the 3D shows it's like floating a few inches above it.

The 3D on the computer elements looks perfect though, but that's because it's native 3D.

It didn't. Made a couple million more. But funny how people will lose it. Fanboys from across the land will be like OMFG this can't be happening. Sad that people give Adam Sandler money so willingly... he sucks. lol

And yeah 7 percent on rottentomatoes... yeeesh.
