Disappointing but not unexpected.
That article IS actually what's wrong with Hollywood these days...
You would think that media like Variety would be more professional in their "appraise" of the situation... instead they do this pathetic tabloid-esque article... ugh!!!
I really hope this movie becomes the next Avatar kind-of-hit and shuts up all the cynics....
Saw the movie already? Where's your reviewI really hope this movie becomes the next Avatar kind-of-hit and shuts up all the cynics...
I Knew that This movie could have trouble at the box office. But I would crap myself if this loses to freaking GROWN UPS 2
F___ this.
Can you imagine if Grown Ups 2 is number one? and Pacific Rim ends up at 2 or number 3?
This is going to ruin any chances for Godzilla to be a success
This would thrill me more than anything. I want all the people saying this is a dumbed down version of Transformers to have to eat those words.
Saw the movie already? Where's your review
I'm not riding with you though. You make me sit in the tire. I'll take Adolfo's trunk instead.
I had no idea that the fate of Hollywood, no, the fate of the world hangs by the success of this movie.
I saw the trailer and was like, "oh big robots vs. ocean monsters, modern CGI slug fest, alrighty then". Then I go on the Internet and it seems like this huge deal.
I hope this movie doesn't bomb so we have big, crazy blockbusters in the future! Pls don't hurt Pacific Rim Adam Sandler, everything depends on Del Toro!
The reason why people care is simple....(now mind you, this movie could be the total opposite of what I think it's going to be, it's GDT, but you never know...) this is going to be the answer to everything people loathe about Transformers. It's going to be a character story first, and a giant robot movie second. The problem is, the trailers don't sell that. (if it's there at all) Which is a mistake.
And if it's successful, maybe Hollywood could wake up a bit, and see that people want a character driven story, rather then an emotionless punching shooting fest.
Well "Blade II" and "Hellboy II" were character driven action movies yet there was nothing special about 'em besides the action and monsters. It's still hit-or-miss with GTD.
Characters were fine, yes. Movies overall? No.I don't see anything wrong with the characters he created (sort of)
