90% "Iron Man" + "Clash of the Titans"
Too melodic and sublime. Almost complete absence of "scale" and "weight". No genre references.
I don't think it would distract me from watching but a shame that it is completely subordinate and nonunique.

Soundtrack rocks!! And in the movie it is even better!!!
So, color me surprised, I love the movie, but didn't think the critics would play along, and they have!
It actually went up on RT from 70% to 82%!!

Would you prefer some big bombastic score that goes nowhere? It's strong, but not over the top.

They use all sorts of weapons, closer to Mazinger, Grendizer, Getter Robo than Evangelion IMO... actually, it's funny because recently GDT said he's never seen Evangelion...
