Anyone here work for AMC theaters with an IMAX? Before I go call them asking a stupid question about the posters, can anyone fill me in on what's going on?

10pm were supposed to get the posters. Now they added times leading all the way up to 10 and then 12. SO WHICH TIME IS GETTING THE POSTERS!11 :mad

Posters? Sweet. I hope they hand out posters at my Imax. I will be at the 7PM. Hope this very first showing here gets the love.

180ish. But we never really know the true budgets for films.

The movie won't do well initially, but if it's as good as people are saying, word of mouth will propel it to do alright.

So no one but me is a little worried about the poster? They've added new times now.....

I feel this will do alright in the end, with worldwide appeal, because of the simple nature of the movie - big robots, vs big monsters.
And then do well on home media after.

For those that have seen this already, my 5 and 7 year old boys want to see this. Any thoughts on why this wouldn't be a good movie for them. They aren't afraid of monster movies and stuff like that and this looks like just good robot vs monster fun.

From everything I've heard, it's perfect for them.

Does anyone give a **** what "Todd Cunningham at The Wrap" says? :rolleyes2

I certainly don't.

I'm seeing Pacific Rim on Friday and I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie.

Roll your eyes all you want at the source, it doesn't mean the predictions aren't still out there. He's just reporting other people's predictions. It's what the analysts are predicting. But it doesn't matter WHO is reporting it. LOL.

Look, I want them all to be wrong and they certainly could. They have been before. Do I care what they say? Not really, only so much that I don't want them to be right. :) I'm going to see the movie on Thursday no matter what to snap up my IMAX poster.

I'm hoping to see PR this weekend. I'm definitely excited for this. Looks like it'll be a fun ride.

Well guys, I just came out of the theatre and all I can say is 'WOW' this film blowed me away! The wait of one and a half years was so worth it! Defiantly can't wait to go back and see it tonight!

Just watched Pan's Labyrinth again. Still a beautiful, and amazing movie. I love that villain and all the sounds he makes when he's getting ready. :lol

Just got home from the movie!! Holy ****, I can't believe this movie, great story, amazing action and memorable characters, this movie has set new landmarks in film, the quality of this film is un rivaled

Never mind. I wasted 15 bucks of gas to learn that they're ONLY giving them out at 10...so all is good. ******* AMC. :lol
Am I still on the list for a poster? Cause I seriously want one. If you're successful in your attempt just PM me. I'll gladly pay whatever is needed (shipping, tip, etc).

Went back to Toys R Us today (exactly a week from my last visit) and they had 4-5 more Pacific Rim figures with only one Knifehead left. All the Gipsy Danger visors still just didn't look right to me so I passed on him once again. Bought the Knifehead. Looks pretty good from what I can see in the package. Gonna open him and the Crimson Typhoon up either tonight or tomorrow.

Seems like these are selling really good. The ones that hadn't yet sold were off the rack leading me to believe people had been contemplating purchasing them.

Off topic but they also still had dozens of Prometheus figures including the two-pack just waiting to be bought. :lol :(

Yes indeed sir. But it'll just all depend on how many I get. I'm aiming for 10. I'm sure i'll have no problem finding at least 10 in the isles.

If I don't reach the quota, then i'll has to do a raffle or something.

So, they are pretty much saying we're getting 4 weeks of flops? Surely SOME movie will have to dominate the market, right? Is that really just going to be Despicable Me an Grown Ups 2? Uggggggh.

Well, whatever. I'm going to Pacific Rim and I'm going to enjoy it. I suspect.

i mean I get that Pacifim Rim might not be everyone's cup of tea (or superman for that matter)

But it makes me kind of sick that from all the movies coming out this summer Grown ups 2 will be one of the few that makes big money..... How is Grown Ups 2 the kind of movie you Need to see opening weekend?
It's like, you don't have anything better to watch? I don't get it.
Like seriously, Seriously who the *** are these people?
I can't even imagine them.... Sometimes I wish I could work in a theater just to see who these stupid people are...:monkey4

Yes I like to know to. Did grow ups 1 have such a big impact that its the go see movie of 2013? Really ? I understand line ranger bombing to despicable me 2 since that's a family franchise but I wouldn't understand if grown ups 2 makes more than pacific rim. I really wouldn't . I'd rather see robots vs monsters than dudes in short shorts washing a car to the song cherry pie. I don't know anybody that even talked about grown ups 1.

I seem to recall people thinking that ******* line chocolate wasted was hilarious for whatever reason. Dur hurr that was so clever!!!
Anyway I will be in deep shock if that ******* movie makes more.

Is not even about Pacific Rim doing more than Grown ups 2. I can understand that not everyone likes robots. But to go to Grown Ups 2 like if it was an important event? Like going opening weekend? Makes me wonder, why?

Saw it in 3D today and my god, I NEED to see this movie again and again and again. Absolutely amazing :yess:

Also loved the part when Newt explained the dinosaurs were the Precursors early attempts at Kaiju, does that make T-Rex Cat 0?
