Got my storm sling attached. Only took about ten minutes to swap out the QD plate. Also used a dessert yellow to highlight the engravings, which I think looks pretty sweet.

Nice sling. And highlighting the rolls is a very nice touch to the rifle. Especially with that Bushmaster logo.
 
Anyone have any input on the Sig 556R? I saw one at the gun show yesterday and I'm thinking of buying it instead of an AK

Depends on what you want to use it for. On my Sig 556, the barrel has 1/9 twist which isn't good for going longer distances. It is a good gun and I do love mine. Personally, I would rather have an AR-15 over the Sig. I am not sure about the heavier round version of the rifle. The AK version is getting good reviews. But I would probably get a regular AK for same reason as the AR-15. The ak is a reliable rifle. So I wouldn't see a need to get a Sig version of the gun.

Me too...I have had a Springfield Armory GI model forever but never really got into 1911s until a few months ago when I picked up a SA Range Officer (great gun but not a self defense piece). So I am picking up my new SA MC Operator tonight can't wait!

Do you own any MR mags? If so the 10 or 15 rounders? I just got my 10 rounders and noticed there are no ammo indicator on the back but just 2 holes on the side that indicates 5 and 10 rounds loaded. And the part number on the packages MAGAFA910 instead of MAGFA910. How does your mags look?

yes, i have MR mags. there weren't any 10rd mags available at the time so i bought 15rd rebuild kits and blocked them to 10rd. i followed the instructions here.

Got my MC last night going to the range today! Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic...my new MC next to my range officer! I changed the wrap around grips to some double diamonds....going to send it in to the SACS to have the front strap checkered as soon as I can.

Thanks for all the info! Great site, good to know that they have the 10rd mags in stock. I did buy some blocked AR mags and right now it's been running fine, my P226 mags was also blocked when I purchased it. Id just rather own a non tampered mag.

Another subject, anyone owns a Arsenal AK variant? I'm lookin to get a SLR 107F or a SLR 107CR but won't be doing a SBR on it. The only different are that the SLR 107CR is SBR ready and the sight is at the end of the gas tube and read that the balance is nice on it but has the extra barrel at the end. People either SBR it or add a fake brake, flash hider etc. Both has folding stocks. Any thoughts on it?
