The quote comes from a biography about Walt Disney. And if I remember correctly, it was directed at Picasso's work with cubism. However, the beauty of the quote at all is the tremendous individualism towards the term "art" and the fact that it means different things to different people.

Well, I think that "tangible" arts (paintings, sculptures, architecture) are one of a kind items.
"Intangible" arts like music, dance, declamation and movies are "mass-produced", recorded or filmed for their appreciation, but remain "intangible".

So, any 'tangible" arts mass-produced (eg. super-hero statues, busts, replicas, PFs) aren't "Art", maybe the prototype would be, but other than that, I'd say nope, no art.
Of course some people might argue about Warhol and other Pop-"artists"...

Out of all my stuff, replica props seem like they could most easily pass as pieces of 'art'. If I want representations of the actual characters themselves, I go 1/6. Their ability to pose gives them unique flavor from collection to collection rather than the same statue just on a different shelf.
