I love having the inner detail on these helmets and the two sculpts are killer... Best SDCC Exclusives from SSC so far IMHO.

I think the detail in the helmsets is cool. I'll get a bigger kick out of showing people the inside than I would taking the helmet off to show a Luke or Han sculpt underneath.

You can't do it that way. Both Kenner and Hasbro's Hand & Luke had huge helmets that weren't/aren't to scale with the bodies. As for the detailed helmets, why is that even really an issue? It's an accessory. The main focus should be on the figures proper who sport some pretty awesome headsculpts. If you want two stormtroopers, Sideshow still has some available. If you want Han & Luke, well, here ya go! :huh

You don't get it and apparently nobody else does and I'm tired of trying to explain. I don't want just two Stormtroopers. I want a Luke and Han who can wear the helmets they come with. I was just stating my thoughts on the figures. No need to burn me at the stake.

I don't think SSC would have done that anyway (same with an eventual Commander Cody or even Jango Fett.)

SSC would do what they did with Boussh...which wouldn't give you the "play feature" you're looking for either.

I'd have been fine with the Boushh treatment. Completely fine with it.

I certainly don't get the pov. No way a Luke or Han who could wear helmets would look good.

1) wearable helmets. Either the helmet would be inaccurate and oversized or the head undersized and too small so this never was an option for these type of helmets. One can always use an old Hasbro helm if you so desire this function.
2) non wearable, non swapable interior detailed helmets. What we got.
3) swapable heads and regular ST helmets.
4) interior detailed helmets AND swapable helmets. Both options but at an increased price point for an already pricey set in a craptacular economy.
5) no helmets at all.

#2 vs #3 adds value to the set with a new accessory, while differentiating it from and not undercutting their regular ST. SS made the best possible decision for both the fans and the production concerns and I'm very glad they went the extra mile with the new helmets. And if one really desires the illusion of them "wearing" helmets the same as the Boushh figure, you can always use a regular ST helm or as others pointed out, a shaved down dummy head or just some cotton stuffed into the helmet resting on the neck. Sure some might have wanted #3 instead but the problem is easily solved and everyone is happy. :monkey3

They should be wearable or swappable. Why did the Boushh figure come with a Leia head and a Boushh helmet head? Because Leia was wearing the Boushh helmet in the movie.

Boushh comes with swappable heads because to have the bounty hunter look and the revealed look.

With Luke and Han, to have the helmeted look is to just own the Stormtrooper figure. Sideshow made a judgement call that collectors buying Luke and Han as Stormtroopers would want to display them without the helmets so that you'd know it was them and not just a Stormtrooper, and with that assumption, they decided rather than just throw in the regular ST head, why not use the opportunity to offer something interesting by doing the full interior detail of the ST helmet as a displayable accessory. The decision is split, some folks like the ability to have that detailed piece in 1/6, some don't.

It's a wasted effort. These are the types of people who will never be happy. He turned down the idea of swappable heads/helmets. Likely if he'd gotten wearable helmets, he'd be whining about how the heads are too small or the helmets are too oversized. :huh

Bu...bu...but I've got logic and common sense on my side. You're telling me they're worthless? :monkey2 :lol

Like singing to the deaf! :lol

I didn't turn down the idea of swappable heads. I said I'd be all for that.

GREAT! Problem solved. Swing by ToyAnxiety and pick up a couple spare Stormtrooper heads. They'll work flawlessly with the Han & Luke. By the time you're done, you'll pay just about the same price Sideshow would've charged if they'd been added anyway. So it's a WIN WIN! :D

No at this point I don't really care. Honestly. I'm not trying to be picky. I just said it would have been nice to have the feature. All I was saying. Then some people started to make issue out of it. I'll probably not even get these figures anyway because of price point and I don't like the headsculpts very much.

Agree to disagree guys and move on... Not everyone is ever going to fall into the same way of thinking-- that'd make things pretty boring wouldn't it?...

Oh, and putting helmets on these two is silly in my opinion-- I'll never display them that way.

Why do people bring up the economy in threads?

If the economy sucks for you, you should't even be considering buying collectibles that you don't need.

Unfortunately, collecting is the equivalent of smoking crack. Only you actually have something to show for it at the end of the day other than a malnourished frame and missing teeth. :lol
