"OMG SSC tricked me into doing what I ACTUALLY WANTED to do!!" This is basically what people are saying. It is totally hilarious to me!!

Furniture stores run sales like that all the time, and with impunity. There's no proof that Sideshow was faking a sell out. It could have easily been NRD declines or voluntary cancellations made before the NRD was charged.
I think the world needs to get over itself. Caveat empor. Take some responsibility for actions taken in the effort to fulfill your desires, and stop calling out the rottweilers on companies when you fail to conduct yourself with restraint.
I understand that given the love for a good witchhunt which inspires so many moral-economic authoritarians, that may be too much to ask.

So ordered! No wait.. what? Hmm maybe I will.. yes I ordered. Nope hang on should I? shouldn't I? Nope cancelled. Damn sold out why didn't I order? Hang on I'll get on the waiting list. Hmmm should I? shouldn't I? Phew on the waiting list... please convert
But I don't care if the waiting list doesn't convert cos im not 100% sure on this :
My wait list converted so glad I ordered this
Now hurry up and ship
Yeah, honestly, while funny, this BS about being tricked into ordering is absolutely ridiculous.
Oh oh ... You forgot the part where it is damaged when it gets there ... And waiting for a replacement because "This is the best piece EVER"... Lol
receives replacement statue... great customer service.. such an amazing statue should've ordered It day 1.
weeks pass...
FOR SALE... im selling my HQ EX It just wasn't what I was expecting. I wanted to love it but didn't I don't even know why I bought it. But whoever buys it will love it its an awesome statue. Im so glad I bought it but wish I didn't
hahhaaa maybe id win! Then I could buy every statue and figure I wanted... even the ones I hated but secretly wanted to buy but didn't
I have watched several pieces I liked sell out; either because I was being economically responsible or because I didn't NEED to have them. In the end a Low Quant warning is NOT a gun pointed at your head saying you HAVE to buy this statue. It is a heads up to let you know a piece is selling out. If you bought it it is because you WANTED to. Any other claims are are what you said North, ridiculous.
Some people just don't want to take personal responsibility
Where is the ES?
If they could have a count down on how many are left, then why is there a TBD amound today on the ES?
They know that doing this increases sales. Blame it on the poeple with no/poor self control (sorry CBG) all you want, but explain the lack of ES?

In the end whether it was a glitch of a change of heart on the ES on SSCs part people should buy what they want to buy. People agonize over these decisions when there should be TWO main factors: do you want it, and can you afford it. Answer yes to BOTH then you buy it, answer no to either then you don't. Once you get past the learning curve this isn't brain surgery.
Well we all know what patient, rational consumers most Americans are. I am sure this sound advice will be taken to heart.

1. Love the Character
2. Love the Statue
3. Be able to afford the Character
4. Buy the Character
Anything else and you should get into another hobby.
