Not really ... CBG WILL get this statue it is almost a guarantee ... He hasn't spent thousands of dollars on almost 100 statues just to miss out on one more for $10.

I admit it tough be ause I love this one a lot! The ex head and reg head is my kind of SS magic. The mix media is ok, but prefer fully sculpted. The nipples are awesome! But I'm still waiting for the ES to see what goes on. It feels weird not buying this awesome statue. But I would feel bad if I bought it right away for higher add on costs and I bet higher shipping too. I will wait for now to see what's the ES first. If its huge I might try to get it on the bay for less. I'm pretty sure I will own this one one way or another.

Actually its not... if you have a limit and you reached it then you stop, its like everything in life... or people would buy and never complain about prices... like the price of subway fares and tolls, why complain if the fare goes up only a few cents

Guys, it's not about the $10. That doesn't bother me at all. It's the $10 on top of the $120 from price increases over the past 1.5 years.

Don't forget what you used to pay. Premium format pieces have now in many cases gone full sculpt with significant price increases and higher ES' over the past couple years. The standard for a good PF will soon level at $400 a piece.

To put things in perspective, this is still a small statue. Mass produced. Low QC measures. The price doesn't reflect the license. These were cheaper before with Marvel, Star Wars, etc.. It isn't the extra QC. Pieces are coming up more damaged and hollow with less detailed mixed media than before.

If anything, prices should go down. SS should target better turn rates at better prices with these higher ES'.

Just found out that my LCS has the regular on PO for $315 shipped. I would paying around an estimated $120 more with my PO on the EX, but that's still well worth it to me. LOVE THE EX HEAD!!

I know inflation. 2-3% per annum. So instead of $270 over a couple years it might be around $286.

Also ES has significantly increased. So $COGS per unit might actually go down (buy material cheaper, higher output per cast, mass produce at lower cost per unit).

Nothing to do with inflation.

It is a simple price gouge. It makes sense to do it. Doesn't feel nice for us as customers. If someone's not happy about the $10 that's fine. Just means he's paying attention.

Fact is, SS can charge $400. They can double/triple ES sizes. They can lower QC measures. They can delay production and release dates. Because you'll buy it. But there's a point that you won't. For some people that point is $10 more.

Its simple price elasticity of demand. Right now, SS is ramping up prices to identify the sweet spot where they can max profit per unit and hold supply at a level where output and take-rate will be optimal.

In time, this hobby will get to expensive if SS doesn't watch the market.
