For me it's like:

Since I'm not a Harry Potter fan and my wife asks me to go with her to see them all.

:lol

You shall not enter the pearly gates of Heaven.

No, I guess it's just because it was to be released the day the earthquake occurred. Maybe WB just wanted to be sensitive (but let's be real, they probably didn't want to compete with other news.)

Agreed. I was worried they might mess things up (I wasn't 100% pleased with DH1) but I think they got this one nailed.

This will get me shot but I have all 7 books and have not read them yet. :slap So I was happy with how the movie went and I'm sure I will be on this part. This summer my goal is to read several of the books.

One of the big problems I had with Part 1 was how, once again, Narcissa Malfoy got the shaft. All of her dialogue from the book was given to her husband, Lucius, or her sister, Bellatrix, in Part 1. She only had one line that wasn't even in the book, yet she plays a very important part at the end of the Deathly Hallows. Unless they beef up her role for Part 2, people won't even know who she is! Ugh. Narcissa is my favorite character from the books. Her role in the Deathly Hallows is just awesome. Unless they change her role for Part 2, you will see what I mean!

PS - READ THE BOOKS!!! :D

:gun

I thought the movie was one of the best book to movie adaptations. Although, I can hardly remember the books its been so long since I've read them. I wish I had time to go back and re-read them.

Yeah, I need to so I can watch the films and find the balance between the two. I'm sure with LOTR it will be the same in that it will improve my feelings on both.

You'll finish the first two books in a day each, third a day, day and a half. 3 days for GOF, 3 for OOTP, 3 for HBP. I took my time with TDH and spread it to five days.

I devoured DH, couldn't put it down, I needed to know what happened next. Plus I was terrified of spoilers like Dumbledore's death. I read that book in 24 hours.
