I'm going to be completely honest and say if any company gets a 1:6 license (SSC already stated that GG still has the 1:4 mixed media license) that it's SSC.

HT isn't really known for going too in depth and with them stretched so thin who know if they'd even make Ron, Hermoine and Harry. Medicom is usually one and done (I'm actually shocked there are two from them) but SSC is the only company that in 1:6 would not only go in depth but give us multiple versions of the character. While we've got multiple Batmen and Iron Men, a Harry Potter license would require different bodies, a showing of growth from child to adult not to mention I don't want to pay $200 for each character.

Hopefully we get SSC jumping into the Harry well because I'd love to have a depiction from all seven years of the main characters not to mention the professors and multiple Death Eaters.

SSC is the only one who could or would give this line the attention to detail and variety it deserves. Various heights, costumes, etc.

I loved this movie so much. Started getting teary when everyone was casting protective spells around Hogwarts. Loved the way they handled Snape - I felt it was much stronger than in the book. He was one of my favorite characters in the book and I feel they really did him justice in the movie.

I'm definitely going to have to go see it again - I am bummed that this amazing journey has reached its end.

I'd love to see HP PF's. I think I would pass on 12". How long until they take the license away from GG and give it to a company that can actually produce something other than a prototype? Seriously, how hard can it be that they still don't have Harry and Voldemort after debuting them 6 years (I think) ago. Give it up already.

I desperately want collectibles other than my mini busts. I honestly can't say whether I would prefer 12" or statue. Anyone else have a preference? I must have a Snape. I think Harry should be done 2nd so I can have Snape first. :D

We'll be off to see the movie again this week. And probably one more time after that (or 2 more, we shall see) before it releases.

Ditto on everything you said. :monkey2 :monkey2 Am going this afternoon for a second look.

Looks like Potters estimated to have taken down The Dark Knights weekend record.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 $168,550,000
The Dark Knight $158,411,483

Anybody else just smile when you see harry looking at the at the train leaving at the end. the ending to the movie was just so moving. You followed these character's for so long and here you are at age 21 and grown up and have a family of your own in a couple of year's (not having a kid til I'm in my 30's or 40's). Anywho when he looked at the train all grown up and watching his kid leave it was almost like it was a messgae to the fan who followed this from the begining to carry on and live happy live's no matter how much sadness you endured. Harry potter is such an epic series. i will never forget it.

Everything in the movie for me is great. But i do have a little bit of nitpicking? I don'r know if you guys and gals notice this?

In the book at the part that HP confronts Snape. Snape keep on telling Harry for him to learn how to use Spells without saying it. It just odd that in the movie Harry was really good at it while in the book Harry never get the hang of it. Voldemort even do says the spells.

I just notice this on my second viewing of it

Didnt sideshow comtemplate whether or not to do Twilight once ? I remeber hearing that.

No they never did. After the first film hit, there was a question posed on whether or not they would:

Q:Are there any plans to get the Twilight license?
A: Twilight is currently a hotly debated topic at Sideshow. We don’t have an agenda to share at the moment, but feel free to ask us again sometime.

During the next SDCC 2010 chat session someone posed that question again and it was stated that while Twilight has fans within the Sideshow offices that they weren't actively going after the license and pointed people to the Tonner direction.

They have been playing interesting though with the HP license for a while:

Q: Harry Potter from Sideshow. Any chance?
A: Perhaps. Ask us again next year!

Q: With the final Harry Potter coming out this November, are we likely to see any HP products from Sideshow released this Christmas or next year with the 2nd part of The Deathly Hallows?
A: We would very much like to dig into Harry Potter and hope that we will have the opportunity in the near future.

Q: Any chance that one day Sideshow will have the Harry Potter license?
A: Someday we hope to have it!

Q: Does Sideshow have any plans to make Harry potter Premium Formats in the future?
A: Gentle Giant is the current rights holder for Harry Potter in this scale. Sling an Accio their way and see what happens!

To me that says they've been pursuing it and it's only a matter of time.

Saw it today and loved it. Wish I could say the same for the theater. Third movie I've seen there where the focus looked off. I plan on seeing this again, but in a different theater.

great film. the theater i was in was annoying me. right next to the bathroom and the hand dryer in the bathroom was so loud you could hear it inside the theater. especially during quiet parts

I would love a 1/6 collection of these to stand in various poses. I can't honestly think of just one position I would like to place these in. They need options.

I was very, very pleased with it. Although I saw it in 2D and it seemed a few shots were in 3D and were a bit blurry. I hope to see it in IMAX before SDCC.

Reading the books there were 2 segments that I thought would have to get lost to make a compelling film - Dumbledore's story and (the pensieve) moment. They rightly cut Dumbledore's story down to a couple of lines and they handled the other one perfectly I thought. In the book both sequences just stop the action cold, which would be death for a film - but we got enough information in the movie without it slowing down too much.

Everyone is giving Rickman well deserved accolades for his performance, but I also have to say that Radcliffe, Grint and Watson deserve high praise. They themselves have said they weren't actors as kids and their performances in the first few movies was sometimes grating. But all 3 have become truly accomplished actors and it really added to the power and emotion of the film.

It's been fun to watch them grow as they've spent a decade on set with the greatest actors and actresses in England! They really were able to hold their own by the end of the series.

My thoughts on the movie: Thank god I didn't have to sit through another "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" trailer. That thing has been playing in front of *every* damn movie all year long. If had to hear *BONG!!!* *BONG!!!* *BONG!!!* on more time, I would have murdered somebody.

It was a great conclusion to the series. Like Dave said, just about everybody involved in this series deserves accolades. The amount of work that had to go into this whole thing to translate the story for screen is mind boggling.

My only complaint is that I would have liked a special credits sequence. Something along the lines of what "Return of the King" had to give everybody a chance in the spotlight.

Great movie, I think the films got better with each one, maybe because they got more and more "adult" with each one :dunno. Loved the TDKR trailer as well, short but sweet.
