Bjork is an acquired taste to be sure, but I like her.

Now pardon me while I read a few pages back to see how she became the current topic in a "movies that made you cry" thread...

EDIT: I didn't get as far as to see how it got started, but you people who are fond of Bjork, kudos. She can strain her voice violently at times but I find it mostly beautiful the way she sings. People, please YouTube the video for "All is Full of Love." Groundbreaking stuff (inspired the movie I, Robot), and a gorgeous song.

Has anyone seen Sophie's Choice? I haven't, but I bet that one would be a tear-jerker for me.

E.T. gets me everytime and if you want a movie that will make you cry buckets, try to find Alex: The Life of a Child.

Bridge to Terabithia did as well, but I think that is due to my wife and I losing a child so it hit us worse than it should have.

Man, sorry to read that Kibishii...

I cryed on both of them as well...

ET, made me cry a lot as a kid...I also have to add, The Notebook (yes I saw this), Titanic, Man on Fire, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, The Pianist, Glory, Mississippi Burning, My Life & Ghost.

Top of my head..........

Killing of Dumbledore

Death of Gandalf (jackson executed that scene flawlessly)

Frodo and Bilbo go into the west

RENT the movie makes me cry "turn that f'kin sheeet oofff nowww!!, AHH AHH MY EARS!! AHH MY EYES NOOO! MY NERVES!!!"

"GET OUSSTT OF ZE DVD PLAYA NOW!!!"

Surprised Gladiator hasn't been mentioned here. Didn't make me cry but its a very sad ending. The soundtrack for that movie helped make it even more emotional

Gladiator, i held back a bit for that one..was quite sad thanks to a beautiful soundtrack but, usually thats what triggers it in every movie.

Just remembered a recent one: Stranger than Fiction with Will Ferrell. I know, right? I never would have expect that from a Will Ferrell movie!

The point where he accepts his death and when he actually saves the boy...wow. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

terms of enderment and the notebook. both are waaaay too emotional. I watched once and that was enough. I cant stand to cry in movies.

To this day, I can't watch the final scenes between Kirk and Spock in Star Trek II without getting a little misty-eyed. :monkey2

You bunch of sally's..Star Trek II, seriously?, i mean it was unfortunate i guess but, no where near as close to being sad, as say the death of Data in ST Nemesis.

:lol :lol Oh same here!. The ship battles were great though, i thought.
