I plan on getting Chewbacca and maybe do a repaint around the eyes. Although I may get Han to go with him. He's on sale on Amazon at the moment.

I agree there are some gems in hasbro's catalogue of figures but these are a bit of a disappointment. Consider what McFarlane used to produce and what neca have done with their aliens & predator figure, neither of which were/are high end collectibles or cost a lot of money & it shows hasbro could/should up their game to really treat collectors with this 6" line, without making us pay through the nose.
I saw Hemble's repaint of Han and he'd transformed the figure into a real show stopper, in the uk these are £20 - £30. I just think they should be better than they actually are.

How cheap does one think I can possibly come by series 1 Luke?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CFELU3A/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER that comes down to a calculated 16 euros shipped... for my european destination. I should've bought the 8 dollar sale when I saw it during the holidays.

To be honest I mostly just want the blue sabre, the gun, and the Luke headsculpt in case they screw up a first appearance release.

yeah, they are a little much for what you end up getting . i've been patient. got han from BBTS for 10$, and leia for 8$.
Luke for 14 is still a little much, but still not that bad.

Feel the same way. So far Luke is only human sculpt I have wanted. Sticking to aliens and armor myself unless a gem appears in the future. Shame because I really wanted all of the core characters.

Tap'd from my LG G2

The X-Wing Luke looked ok from what I remember, and I might pick one up eventually. Sadly, If it's true what they are saying about EU being dead, then I won't be seeing any in 6 inch. Yet, they are repackaging Basitla, Malgus, and Starkiller for the 3.75 inch line.

*Rolls eyes* It's not dead. Hasbro has been told that the EU, and THE PT ( with the exception of darth maul and clones) are off limits for toys for the time being.
this is likely to stay in place untill the story group finishes its pruning.

Apparently a crappy obi wan and anakin were exempt as well...

O they're repacking Bastila? Gotta try and score that. Did sell my Malgus though, but I still have my HK.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Either way, I'm sure we will have plenty of cool figures to look forward to in the next 5 years.

Yeah, I actually saw the picture of Bastila on a Black series card online somewhere. While I prefer the vintage card, she looks good on a black card. I sold my Malgus's too which I regret because it was a cool figure.

That's a little too optimistic. As of now, the EU is being erased and no one is saying just how much of it will stay or go. Popular character names will probably stay, but even still no one knows if their character designs/personalities will be changed for the sake of the upcoming movies (Mara Jade into an old brunette to match an actress playing her, Darth Revan into a woman because that's what Leland Chee did with his character when he played the game, etc etc).

The old EU is definitely dead, and it's just a crap shoot if Disney will bring back an individuals personal favorite back, even in the same form as before or not.

Ugh, effed up. I hope they let Bioware continue their quite seperate Old Republic verse. Never cared much for post episode VI EU anyway.

I'm not a fan of the post VI EU with the exception of Thrawn Cycle. Thrawn is one of my favorite Characters and the books made me appreciate Star Wars as a whole more than I did before. However, I love the Knights of the Old Republic characters and stories a lot. Old Republic has some cool stuff.

The Old Republic-verse is imo nearly the ultimate blend between the OT and the PT styles. Especially SWTOR, ignoring the fact that it's an MMO and that that is not exactly to everyone's liking, is fantastic in truly capturing the feel of both styles within the same universe, in my personal opinion.

But I'm not sure because prequel stories set 3000 years before the OT don't seem to be impactful on any of the episodes at all so I hope it remains separate and they let Bioware keep doing their thing.

Personally I hope Episode VII is going to be along the lines of SWTOR's cinematic trailers in terms of style and western/militia versus force user content.

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

I dont see what Disney gains by throwing out the EU or anything like that. If I was a writer or storyteller and they completely erased my book from Star Wars canon I wouldnt be happy. Whats it hurt to leave what is, is and improve on that.

I've been meaning to read the Old Republic books for awhile. Not sure which order I need to read them, but I do want to Read the ones about Malgus and Revan.

I can see you're point with anything before Episode 4, but I can see where all the New Jedi Order stuff would come into conflict with the eventual story of the new Trilogy will be about. What they could do, but probably won't is just start calling the EU, The Alternate Universe. Then again I have a hard time knowing which books are canon and which are not. I'm also waiting to see if the new films borrow any ideas from the EU books.

Well I made my very first 6" scale purchase last night. Wait for it.................Greedo!! yeeaaaah. :wink1: I passed on the first wave (yes Sandtrooper) and second (not feeling them). I have never seen Boba Fett but was never hunting for it as I have the 1/6 SS version and it is enough for me. But Walmart had Leia and Greedo on sale for $19.98 (CAN). so I said OK. :dunno. I think I will approach this line with collecting only the Aliens and a handful of armoured figures (yes I will buy Stormtrooper). I think deep down I would have been kicking myself if future "cantina" patrons were released and I had never picked up Greedo. Anyways nice figure.

Yeah, a number of us are doing just that. Greedo does look cool. I can't wait for the Vader and hope they do a Snowtrooper in the near future.

I have been wanting Boba Fett for the longest time and finally got one off of ebay. Over paid at $41 shipped, but its over and I got my character coming to me soon. I kinda want to get another one for a ROTJ custom, but I feel they will refresh Fett later on and make the ROTJ version the refresh.
