Personally - I'd prefer a 6" Boba to have a sculpted outfit for the most part.

That 3A sample is cool, but I'm not really digging the way the torso armour looks, & I'm also getting a Robot Chicken vibe from it with those slightly puffy clothes.

Agreed. It saddens me there are softgoods on Maul's skirt. Why not a soft rubbery plastic like many other figures this scale use? I wouldn't mind the whole robe/cloak being cloth at this scale IF it doesn't look as ridiculous as the 3 3/4" figures. But it probably would. I wasn't buying Maul anyways but it makes me nervous for ANH Leia and ANH Obi-Wan Kenobi.

I agree with that. Fully cloth outfits don't usually work on the smaller stuff.

Sculpted parts are cheap! I know cloth parts can be done in this scale, but Hasbro is cheap. So, yeah.

Certain things just look much better sculpted in a smaller scale.

To get the proper lean look & feel of Boba Fett's body proportions in the suit, sculpting those details makes a hell of a lot more sense. The cape is obviously fine to have as a soft goods piece.

Btw, the helmet on that 3A figure sample looks too small anyway.

I fear the same for the Hasbro figure actually, they've never gotten his helmet the right size & shape with their 4" super articulated attempts. Here's hoping they do..

They did a pretty good job on the recent Bespin Battle Pack Boba helemet (shown here on the TVC Boba body):

That, coupled with the fact that they are in cahoots with Gentle Giant on this line gives me a confidence that they will get it right.

That BP Boba helmet is *EXCELLENT* - it's completely the right shape & size, they've utterly schooled SSC there.

I was going to get that BP to customize my TVC Fetts, but that set hasn't reached AUS unfortunately. Just the TPM one with Maul, Ewan & Qui-Gon.

Actually - regardless of the lack of articulation, all three figures in that Bespin set have some awesome sculpting on them. The Bespin Luke & Vader are great in that regard.

I might have to bite on these. There's something really enticing about starting over. Maul worries me though. I hate the prequels so I wouldn't have bought him anyway, but he stands as a bad omen about the quality of future figures. No good having a collection if your (random name) Han Solo looks like crap.
