The ones you mentioned are all great, but their quality also makes weaker figures look really bad! I'm quite tempted to return to this line though, it's great to see them doing Rebels characters already. And Revan is a must-have!

Does anyone have Palpatine? I dismissed that figure immediately, but I'd love to see in-hand pics.

I got him last night and I am actually pretty happy with how he turned out. He's not perfect, but way better in hand than I thought he would be. The hood is actually pretty well done (sewn down at the corners and back and not oversized). I could have done without the plastic skirt though. This is him right out of the box, with only very minor futzing of the robe:

I still plan on giving his robe the water treatment to see if it will hang better and I'm gonna trim down the excess material inside his sleeves.

Thank you for sharing those! Looking forward to seeing how your customized version looks too. He turned out so much better than the prototype, but he could use a throne.

Wow the Emperor looks bad! You would figure after 30+ years that Hasbro would invest some money into this line and finally giving a product worth buying. They could save so much money instantly by NOT releasing so much crap. I would think Disney would demand of them a better product as well now that they are involved.

I hate anything Hasbro does any more glad I don't collect this garbage anymore. I stick to only 1/6 stuff as the details are 100x better then any ol action figure will ever be.

Actually I have noticed quality has gone the other way (poorly) in action figures since Disney. Figures are looking like ****. And I hate going to the SW section of any store only to see ****ing REBELS products. I HATE REBELS!!! I HATE that these Rebel characters are clogging up the SW section I once loved!!

And I thought you used to be cool man!!

You are totally confusing me with someone else, I was never cool!

I ordered the SDCC First Order Stormtrooper on evilBay, mostly because he's the closest thing we're getting to a Sneak Preview figure for TFA. Can't wait to get him!

Ok, well I water treated him overnight. Put a rubber band around his waist to try to get the robe to hold together more and some alligator clips on his sleeves to try to get them to "droop" more. The material just didn't really respond well at all. It's very similar to the Sideshow ESB Vader's cape, which works well on a figure that size because there is more weight to it. Still, I am happy with him:

It looks okay, but the robe looks too thick to do much with. And that face sculpt is pretty unfortunate - even the 3 3/4" Saga Emperor looks better. Not sure what happened with this one.

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

My First Order Stormtrooper arrived today:

He's very cool looking, I love his sleek armor. The paint apps aren't 100% and he could use a little more articulation though. Hopefully they'll address these issues for the wider release.

I love that trooper - it actually looks better than the full size ones in the movie, which overall look a bit "fat" for some reason (especially the thunder-thighs.) The figure looks leaner like the classic stormtrooper.

I sort of like the new guns (as opposed to the raw metal of the classic trilogy) but they do sorta remind me of those 1990's Hasbro blasters when they started coloring them to make it clear they weren't real weapons.
