I got IG88 from Walmart yesterday. They had all the archive figures but that was the only one I felt really compelled to get. The oversprays are definitely nicer and more consistent. The wider stance on the legs means he can actually stand and pose! And the two-peg connection and remolded blaster look great. His head is still all kinds of weird and inaccurate in shape and size, but this is better at least.

Thanks so much. Yeah, it's a great collection. I have to say, I've been pretty much trained to wait for the bigger ticket items from TBS. I've gotten Luke's Speeder, Rey's Speeder, the Dewback and Enfys Nest's speeder all sub $30. Which honestly feels like a steal because they really are nicely done. But after paying full price for the First Order TIE Fighter and seeing it down to $60... it's hard to pay out right away for these.

Thanks for the comparison pics! Had no idea they retooled his blaster, and the paint and stance are definite improvements. I never got around to opening my boxed BS IG-88, and now I'm thinking I'll just open one these archive versions instead and leave the old one sealed. And I'll also still hope and pray for Bandai to release an IG-88 model kit lol

And yeah, I usually wait too, I think Enfy's Nest swoop was the only one I paid retail for (somehow I thought that one would be produced in lower numbers). I only paid $25 for the First Order Tie Fighter, what a steal!

I honestly dont think the RO and Solo lines tanked at retail at all. Sure there were a few figures that stuck around on the shelves, but we get that from all the initial waves. I remember X-Wing pilot Lukes, Slave Leias, R2s, etc.. sitting around on shelves forever too.

You're very welcome! Definitely am happy with this upgrade. It'll be nice to be able to put him on the shelf without the assist of a little stand! lol.

I do think it's tricky to look at anecdotal evidence of sale based on peg warmers. With RO, it was mostly Jyn and Cassian that peg warmed here. There were just SO many of those that it kind of blocked the later waves even getting to retail. Solo seems to be a similar issue, with Han being the main peg warmer here.

PS - Getting Dryden and Holdo in later waves is helping me to hold out hope we'll see Bodhi Rook eventually.

PSS - I think Grievous looks great. I'm not big into the prequels, but I like the look of a lot of the characters. And his cape looks pretty decent, although I wish it had more "movement" to it. But that might be possible with some futzing.

Yeah, it's really hard to judge if a line tanked because of a few specific pegwarmers. I seriously cant wait for Dryden and Mudtrooper solo to complete the Solo line.

I gave up hope on Bodhi and got the Disney Die cast figure, just to have him in some form of 1/12 figure for the group setup. I really wish they would have finished the group and done him in the BS line. Would have loved to have seen Saw and Two Tubes too!

Dryden Vos has been confirmed?

I love that Dryden apparently has some color change gimmick on his scars? So they can get "angrier"?
Nothing for Q'ira yet, sadly.

Kessel Q’ira a must own one of my favorite costumes in all of SW and she looked super hot in it WITHOUT the need to show skin that’s impressive if you ask me

I’m slapping an infinity stone on Dryden’s forehead there and posing him with Wanda lol

I'd really love getting both her big-collar jacket look and the caped disguise look.

Skin

is

also

good

It really is. It was also featured in almost all the marketing and promotional materials and yet so far her "street rat" attire is the one represented in all three figure scales and not Kessel. Very strange.

I have always had a crush on her, I sat thru Terminator Genysis for her lol

Hell yeah, lol. Thanks to Solo I no longer have to slum with Genysis. :lol

haha made me lol for real

but seriously, why mess around with her in anything except the Game of Thrones episode where she sports her birthday suit?

When Game of Thrones first came out so many reviewers said it was the greatest thing in fantasy that the LOTR elitist in me refused to ever give it a chance, lol.

Greedo was the real peg warmer from the early days..... look at his price now!!
