I'm very happy with the Solo collection we've gotten. A bit surprised considering how much a lot of Rogue One toys were peg warmers. To be fair, the Solo figures seem to be pegwarming at retail too. I never saw Enfys Nests's Swoop Bike set at retail. And the latter waves I ordered online. I wonder if online is a much bigger part of the Black Series sales now, so going by peg warmers isn't a good indicator? At this point, I only hope we get a Corellia Han and an older Q'ira.

Also, YakFace did a little game where they gave clues for three upcoming TBS figures. They are:

Hints:
1. Two are Original Trilogy era characters
2. One is a Prequel era character
3. None are droids
4. None are aliens
5. One is from Revenge of the Sith
6. One is from A New Hope
7. All three are male characters
8. Two are from the Rebel Alliance
9. None are Sith
10. One is Luke
11. One is a clone
12. One is a pilot

Nice collection :hi5:

Bad News: all of them have become peg warmers in less then two years :lecture

I guess collectors are just not into the market for the expansion franchise films so far

Great photo btw :clap

I owned all of the Galoob spaceships and regret every second selling them off :lol

They were awesome.

Yeah they were. I had most of them too, and yeah regret selling them too lol (especially the Tie Defender)

They would have gone perfect with my cinemachine collection dangit

Awesome pic man, I've got a similar display going. So happy with the BS Solo collection! Especially Rio, what an awesome little figure he is!

The later waves are definitely scarce at retail in my neck of the woods, I got mine online too. Hopefully the last two Solo figures wont too hard to get. Enfy's Nest & Swoop are sitting around at almost all Targets in my area though, kinda wish I woulda held off on it for the eventual clearance.

Really not liking that cape at all. Geez.

I think I’ll stick with the model kit.

He does no translate to toy form very well especially cheap toys he looks too thin and way too plastic.

I would prefer his original animated angular version anyways which is his best version over his cinematic design.

I know that mafex is crowned king of the Boba Fett’s but doesn’t his helmet seem too large or is that what makes him boss.

Looks like a kid wearing a big bucket to me lol

Thanks to Fwoosh for the comparison shot

Looks perfectly to scale to me. Need room to fit a head and padding in the helmet lol. And yeah Fetts Helmet actually is kind of big, like Vaders.

He’s great from the neck up [emoji12]

He looks great in stand alone shots for sure, but put him next to the rest, and YIKES!

Picked up the SH figuarts Old Ben. It's weird, I passed on him initially as online reviews did not make him look overly impressive, but score him for a good price. And in person, the figure really impresses. Love the closed eyes option. Scene specific, but what a classic scene!!!

Between BS stepping up their game, and SH figuarts knocking out ANH figs, it's a good time for 6" (1:12) collectors

BS fett is good for the price point, but is no comparison to the Mafex fett

I got IG88 from Walmart yesterday. They had all the archive figures but that was the only one I felt really compelled to get. The oversprays are definitely nicer and more consistent. The wider stance on the legs means he can actually stand and pose! And the two-peg connection and remolded blaster look great. His head is still all kinds of weird and inaccurate in shape and size, but this is better at least.

Thanks so much. Yeah, it's a great collection. I have to say, I've been pretty much trained to wait for the bigger ticket items from TBS. I've gotten Luke's Speeder, Rey's Speeder, the Dewback and Enfys Nest's speeder all sub $30. Which honestly feels like a steal because they really are nicely done. But after paying full price for the First Order TIE Fighter and seeing it down to $60... it's hard to pay out right away for these.

Thanks! Well, that's kind of my question though... if RO toys had tanked so thoroughly as they SEEMED to at retail, it surprised me that Solo got such nice offering, although maybe they were just hoping a different movie would get better sales. It just makes me wonder if, for some of these figures, sales online are so good that retail is nice but not as essential?

The archive figures make me wonder about this, too. They are on a more standard card. Are they seen as the future of retail? Re-releasing more established characters at retail while they get a lot of the newer characters out via TBS mostly online?
